I think you're right, but that's the IBF. Pay Derevyanchenko enough money and he'd agree to a step-aside from his part.
Its probably not up to him to accept step-aside money if the IBF are holding firm on adhering to their own rules which it looks like there are. That belt is on borrowed time if you ask me.
So the IBF won't sanction it as a title defense... Does that mean that if Vanes KTFO Golovkin, Golovkin is still the IBF champ?
Yes, but only if he agrees in writing before this saturday, that it’s going to be his next fight. 90 days thing goes out the window if he doesnt do it.
Derevyenchenko would be a fool to accept the belt. He's better off accepting step aside money which would more than double his highest ever purse. He could wait on GGG for at least a year as Golovkin, presuming he gets past or fights Canelo, still has the BJS strap he could go after. If GGG gets stripped, D-chenko will have to fight Jermall Charlo for the vacant title. Charlo is ranked number 4 in the division, no 2 is vacant, no 3 is Jacobs who is D chenko stable mate and sparring partner. So.... wait on GGG for a nice 1 million dollar payday, or fight Charlo for a vacant title for maybe 250k and possibly lose that fight. Decisions decisions
Boxing is so top heavy damn! That guy is suppose to be one of the best middleweight contenders in boxing!
Read that in the Vanes fight the iBF title will be on the line now. So, the IBF changed their minds, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Triple G's camp want to pay 20 k as the step a side fee. Doubt Derevyachenko camp accept this proposal.
