I am not on PBC Kool aid. However anyone who is pro-fighter like Uncle Al Haymon I applaud.

It is of course. Promoters and fighters don't have the same interests as fans, we want them to take 50/50 fights, they want to minimise risk whilst maximising reward, twas ever thus...

However, there's something about the line on this fight that everyone aligned with PBC trots out that really jars. It's like they've all been briefed on what to say.

It's getting to the point where I'd like them to say 'Look we're never fighting each other, it's nothing personal, just business' rather than what I think we're going to get which is this fight once Crawford shows further signs of aging and is desperate enough to take a smaller cut of the purse.

Watching Spence smash up a skilled but past it boxer who is no longer capable of mixing it at the highest level has no appeal. Hearing him then make out that he's achieved something special afterwards even less so.

 

No I said anyone that is pro boxer has my vote. To be clear I am not saying Uncle Al was a boxer like his brother Bobby what I am saying by the term “pro boxer“ means anyone who is supportive of boxers and promotes their well being financial and otherwise has my vote. This is specifically in reference to you thinking I am a PBC cheer leader.

 

You seem to think TC is the issue here, because he doesn't get paid as much as ESjr. It's BOTH guys. In fact, TC has done more as a pro than ESjr has.

 

Look the fight is going to happen for one major reason above all others which is that both fighters actually really want it. Spence Jr is an ambitious fighter and he believes he is a great fighter. While he respects TC as a fighter he believes he is better and once he beats TC hopefully for the undisputed Welterweight title he intends to go up to win titles at Light Middleweight and to Middleweight/ Super Middleweight to dethrone Canelo.

A fight against Pacquiao right now makes more economic sense as it puts the WBC, IBF and WBA Super and Regular titles include the line so that when he fights TC all the marbles are on the line.

Nobody has given a valid reason why TC won’t fight Shawn Porter other than they are friends.

As things stands the economics don’t work for both networks that host both fighters Fox and ESPN to come together for this fight yet.

 

Except I did. TC Beating Shawn Porter doesn't elevate him any higher as it stands. TC is already ranked higher than Porter. And TC already has a better resume than ESjr. So WHAT does beating Porter do exactly? Give us a good fight? Sure. But you are acting like facing Porter is some "key" here.

 

Not at Welterweight! Even TC knows Erroll is more than happy to fight him. He knows because he called him direct and said as much. Both guys are for real.

 

That doesn't matter that TC's accomplishments were lower weight. It's not like ESjr has a dazzling resume at 147 either.
