Lewis did show he has a pretty good chin. He ate punches from Hunt that would have dropped other guys.
Still even given the context it's astounding that a guy with such poor skills and appalling conditioning could win fights in the UFC. I'd pick Elitexc Kimbo to knock this guy out.
That main event was a **** fest. A battle of who was gonna give out from exhaustion from plodding around the cage and throwing a punch now and again.
Hunt is 43 with a lot of miles behind him, he gets a pass... Lewis however is appalling to watch, can't believe there were people who actually fell for the hype.
Yeah I probably am lol but prime Kimbo had better striking fundamentals, defense and even stamina. Put him in against a 1d brawler who can only go about round without his arms hanging at his waist and he might get the job done.
Kimbo struggled against James Thompson who has one of the worst chins in the history of the HW division, Lewis would steamroll him.
Had Lewis won certain people would go on about how the heavyweight division is stronger than before, I know those types, you arent fooling anybody.
If you listen closely, a certain Somebody is crying of disappointment due to his A++ level athlete failing against a washed up, senior citizen Samoan.
Yes he did but they fought at a much higher pace than Lewis could handle. This bum basically quit from fatigue sauntering around the cage throwing about 15 strikes a round, if Kimbo could make it out of the 1st round without getting his glass chin shattered then maybe he'd have a shot.
Exactly. Kinda like the way those same certain people were quick to say "The Heavyweight Division is alive again!" after Joshua beat Martin and Wilder somehow got the WBC strap. Lol! Too funny
Mark Hunt is a legend , these cheating steroid munching ****s should lose all money for a fight if they test positive !
Is Josh Barnett serving a doping suspension? If not I'd really like to see him and Mark Hunt throw down again. #PRIDENEVERDIE These 40+ year olds are still throwing down and upsetting the odds.
I heard he's fighting JDS next... I think it all matters how much Junior has left, I mean he's still only lost to top 5 guys(Miocic, Overeem and Cain) but the battles are definitely taking their toll and have caught up to him. Looks to me the UFC are hoping to feed him to Ngannou to put him over, just as they were doing with Hunt against Lewis. The Super Samoan had other plans though....
