Former SFW IBF champ Steve Forbes was rejected as an opponent, looks like Alex Arthur's being lined up. http://www.*****.net/2011/10/steve-forbes-rejected-by-ibo-for-derry.html
It was really frustrating just watching it at home. The fight was just hotting up. I can only imagine how gutted you and your fans who travelled down must have felt. Good luck with the next fight, just please don't start calling yourself a world champion when you win it. :good
Nice, now please go after a legitimate title. You should be able to place yourself nicely for a British, Commonwealth or European title shot. Put yourself in line to fight Rees, if you beat him, get a nice ranking, few defences then go after a legitimate world title.
I missed that Ringside, that's outrageous! Thanks for mentioning it here. I like your thinking on two sanctioning bodies merging, but can't see it. It's like kids in a school playground organizing a game - everyone wants to be in charge. So I can't see any of the big four giving up their standalone status, sadly.
Sure. Go for it. Even if loses he finds his level, goes back to the drawing board and repeats. I don't know why so many boxers are so scared to find their level. They are continously find ways around it. Fighting for a trinket is the biggest form of it. You don't mix in the same domestic, euro or international class. You pick and choose who to fight for your bogus title.
I'd like it if they merged and no one was in charge. Give the senior guys equal footing so they can vote on all major decisions. Hopefully this would see fairer decisions on who fights who etc The names on the board and their votes etc need to be made public and open to scrutiny. I'm getting ahead of myself though.
