Crawford v Burns was so boring it could easily find a place in Boring Bradley Skeete's DVD highlights.

Massive step up, can't see him winning but wish him well. If paul smith could get a world title shot based on who he's fought then derry does too

Agreed, can't see Derry winning but I'm glad he's got the fight. Personally I'm just glad that Abril will be coming over

Exactly, Billy does not like the truth you see, Ricky had a fantastic career, done best he could with his ability, but is not as good us Gamboa, Broner and that, no shame in that.

no sir you are a very opinionated lad who has absolutely no experience in this sport the way it's ran ect ect
You sit in front of a TV and computer and thing your some kind of expert, please have a good look at yourself before you criticise a professional athlete.
You should go to a pro gym on a very regular basis and I'm sure your opinions would simmer down, how the **** can you say Ricky done well with the ability he had, Burns was and I know this will hurt you better than Scott Harrison who IMO was the more gifted individual and should have done so much more but for his lack of professionalism but to many people are blinded to accept the fact

The Real McCoy - World Champion but sad to see his talent wasted after the Brodie fight.

If only he could have overcome his most dangerous opponent - alcohol.

    B/s.

I remember when you got asked live after Ricky's fight against Beltran (I think?) did Ricky win IYO, and even though he thoroughly lost (and everyone in the studio was adamant he had lost, as was everyone on here), you said he won and the look on your face said it all. You just didn't believe a word that you said.

You do have a hard time handling the truth, Bill.

Steve I can't recall you complaining about Anthony Crolla getting a World title shot. Do you not remember Derry splattered him and clearly beat him again in the rematch? I take it Derry's not in the loop though
Like it or not Derry's last few run of results have been better than Burns recent results. Losing to Ormond set him back, but don't forget Burns got his 4rse handed to him by Zlaticanin - he's no any better than Ormond. Derry beat Gethin by a couple of rounds for the British title and then beat Dingsdale and both of them are a lot better wins than the journeyman that Burns struggled to beat last time out.
If you followed boxing other than Burns career in the last few years then Derry getting a title shot should come as no surprise to you.

but Ryan can't you understand Derrys opponent have not been anywhere near the level of Ricky's
If Ricky fought Derry it would be very one sided in Ricky's favour

Lay aff the brown mate , Dingsdales a novice , Zlatacanin has a fight to become mandatory for the WBC and imo would deal with derry or ormond , Southpaws who can bang are mostly avoided and tbh Hearn and Simms should have been shot for that match up , I had gethin by 2 rounds and also had crolla by 2 in the rematch , Derrys a good s****per but a domestic level s****per , remember this he was rickys punchbag for 500 notes a week for years ............... Ps whyd he duck flannagan and commey ??????

Ryan I wish Derry well but he knows Ricky is the best he's ever shared a ring with.
Even he coach Danny said Ricky is different class when they sparred
