    derrys going to be mounting his comeback in july sometime and will be campaigning at lightweight, hes under no illusions were the problems lay to his recent downturn in fortunes and has addressed them accordingly and now has a whole new team behind him lead by oliver harrison, hopefully with a coupkle of decent wins he can get right in the domestic mix but i can confirm hes been looking very sharp in the gym and is coming back with a huge amount of motivation and determination, good luck derry!:good

    He is fighting at lightweight am i right? I hope he is strong at the weight and doesnt get bullied around. I wish him well though whats he doing with promotion? Free agent?

    tbh mate i was suprised when i seen him in with a few lightweights at the gym because he more than held his own strength wise etc, he said he feels big and strong at the weight and it will be a posotive that he wont be killing himself to make 9st, with regards to promotions etc i think hes a free agent but hell be making an announcement soon

    Wish him all the best. Can't help thinking if his dad had pulled him out after the third round against Choi as he should have done his career might not have crumbled so dramatically. Those last two rounds did so much damage.

    Remember a break then step up in weight revitalized herol Graham. Maybe Derry needed a little longer though.

    Good luck to derry, He was so brave in the fight with Choi he must have got up 5-7 times in that fight but will he be able to perform at a high level again?

    Just looked for sources of the knockdowns and the ever reliable Wiki says derry was only down 3 times before he got knocked down for the 4th and final time.

    he looked surprisingly small in stature compared to lawton. huge shoulders and a tine body. maybe he has filled out more instead of having his ambitions of moving back down.

    a fresh start never hurt anybody.

    and i guess it's better to get rid of the bug before he fights past a reasonable age and way past a reasonable weight division.

    Best of luck to him.

    Thought he conducted himself well when he was posting on here despite some ridiculous hate coming his way.

    However, his performance against Lawton doesn't inspire great confidence for him campaigning at LW, but I hope he does well as he has a nice skillset behind him.
