He'll take a lot of confidence from that, given that Derry went 12 with world champ Flanagan in his last fight.
I thought Luke looked a lot better. he's defo not bouncing about like an amateur as much as he was. Which is an improvement imo... I don't think he's going to be top level but I think he's looking more 'pro' like now...
What Luke did do was manage to look a lot more like a pro alright. I was very surprised at how he 'roughed up' Derry .....lots of 'professional ' fouls....sticking in the head,....heel of the glove in the face in the clinches etc etc .
I agree with this. Very impressed with Campbell. That loss as done him the world of good, I think he's going to have an excellent career.
Campbell was "slightly" dominant....as in he was winning the rounds. Winning them narrowly. I actually expected him to be totally outboxing Derry. He wasn't doing that in fairness. Winning a few rounds narrowly against a frankly faded Derry Matthews is hardly sensational stuff is it? There was signs of improvement ...particularly his inside game. But it wasn't a great performance in my opinion.
I am .... JOHN HOOLAN You are .... NOTHING Don't EVER address me again in that tone. I wish you well.
Sorry, I was wrong. I totally apologise. It would take 2 of you to make a half wit. You're only a quarter wit...har har har haaaaar ......
Thought Campbell did well, was in control of the fight throughout and picked some lovely body shots to finish Derry off. Derry went 12 rounds with Flanagan last time out so it's a decent statement from Campbell, I'd like to see a rematch with Mendy.
