On the same bill as Amir Khan's daring assualt on the WBO rankings, Derry will make the extraordinary attempt to become the first scouser in history to unify the WBU and WBF titles, as he tackles hard-hitting mongolian, Choi Tseveenpurev. If dirty derry manages to get past Choi, he will be looking to take on slick WBO champion Steven Luevano. 1. Do you think Derry will beat Choi 2. Even if he beats Choi, does he have a chance against supercool Steve Luevano?
He won't beat Luevano, he doesn't look good enough to be a WBO champ Will probably beat that Mongolian goat farmer
i train with derry bin watchin him spar all week hes lookin well an trainin hard an the coaches rate this choi quite highly
They are all shite, for various reasons. WBA has the ridiculous super/regular champ bollocks WBC has 'Emeritus champion' IBF **** mandatories WBO can be manipulated by promoters, and has dodgy rankings IBO doesn't give mandatory challengers, yet has best rankings WBU is controlled (probably owned) by Frank Warren WBF God knows, just shite Basically, alphabet bodies are all useless, and serve no purpose - they couldn't agree on the colour of shite - one would say light brown, the other junior brown, and the other would say super orange!
To be honest I do not like the fact that Derry is going for the WBF belt but the opponent that he is facing is very good and maybe the best opponent he has yet to face. The fight will put him in good sted for the harder fights if he comes through. Choi is prob the most avoided fighter on the British scene, Derry could have chosen a much easier fight.
When you spar him, would you please low-blow him HARD from all of us here at ESB and say: "This is for the Simpson fight!" ? Thank you very much!:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
