Yes, that 6th rd got me thinking `****, this aint like Morales, he looks spent` credit to Morales also tho because he came out & won his 2 clearest rds of the whole fight back to back, rds 7 & 8, I love the will power & heart of Morales, phenomenal.

Anyway - I dont want to turn this into a praise Morales thread.

I like these `one word to describe` threads because it gets you thinking, its very hard to think of just one word when there are so many to describe the ATGs.

Ive always been really impressed by Barrera`s % rate (accuracy), the only fighter that has a clear edge over him in the last 10 yrs in this department is Mayweather, no shame there, Barrera might actually be 2nd, I`ll need to think about that one.

Yup, Erik began countering the jab with his overhand right in the 7th round, and landed an absolute bomb in the 8th. Great, great fight.

    Warrior.

He came back stronger after the Jones losses, he came back strongly after the Pacquiao mauling, he provided great entertainment for years and years with his skill and his pride, he slayed the dragon that was Hamed, ultimately he got the better of Morales over the course of the trilogy. He came out on top in the Fight Of The Decade IMO (first fight with EM).

A long career, a strong resume, one of the era's very best.

Better than the 2nd fight by a distance but falls short of the 1st fight by a distance, great fight, tho, if Im being honest, I still find it hard to keep watching as soon as the final bell rings, the verdict, the interviews, heartbreaking **** for me still to this day

At least both took part in the best fight Ive ever seen (tho recently Im thinking Chacon-Boza II is as good with the technique thing edging it towards EM-MAB I by a pube) & they will never be forgotten.

Two great fighters, three great fights. Although I rooted for Barrera at the time, I just watch now and enjoy, don't even care who won. The rivalry is a huge plus to both of their legacies.

Yeah, I can understand how the post-fight crap with their last fight would suck for you to watch. Morales should have just shook his hand though.

They need to release Morales vs Barrera 1 in HD. That'd be insane
