Michael Watson case is a tragedy, although he's recovered well enough to walk a marathon.

I assume you're referring to Gerald McClellan. Despite the terrible things he may have done to animals, it's still tough to see any fighter end up permanently disabled, or dead, as a result of the sport.

dont tell me who im referring to. im talking about watson, the man who was given no chance of living beyond being a vegetable, but is now a champion of all disabled people to show them what can be achieved. i'm talking bout the former prize fighter, the man who beat nigel benn and came within a whisker of boxing greatness before he transcended the sport to come out of a coma and showed people what could be done from the ultimate adversity. if it wasnt for watson mclellan wouldnt be alive cos its his demise that changed britains ringside doctor assistance. he was dead for all intents and purposes. last year he ran the london marathon, rising alot of money, and lives with a smile on his face

i was talking about michael watson

If that's how you want to look at it, cool.

I still hate to see anything like that happen in the sport.

The 12th round of the Eubank rematch is one of the toughest rounds to watch.

it lasted all of 15 seconds

i was 15 years old or so, drinking cheap booze round my mates house, all cheering watson on against eubanks bad guy. he had it in the bag but somehow ,as great fighters sometimes do eubank turned it round.i have never seen a fight turn so quickly as that one. corrales castillo is the only one that comes close. it was the first time id seen a fighter slip away live on tv, years later mclellan did the same , undescibable really.
anyway, watson did in his life after that fight waht he did before it ,fight. legend really, hopefully history will judge him that way, cos thats what he is
