What is your ideal heavyweight? height/weight? reach? brawler, outside boxer, inside fighter, counter puncher? My ideal heavyweight: 6'5'', 225 lbs Southpaw with 80'' reach. Amazing footspeed and can outbox many fighters. Devastating left straight, which ends many fights by KO. Has also very good right hook to hurt opponets. Iron chin, never goes to canvas. Counter puncher style who forces his opponets to follow him.
A multicultural, 6'6, 240lb, excessive clincher on roids who is afraid to throw his right hand for the first 8 rounds.
A Thomas Hearns like HW ...about 6'7, 219lb, heavy puncher, great left jab,33 (32ko,s) younger than 30 ...oh wait....
I'd say optimal height must be between 6'5 and 6'9, taller than that seems to generate various problems; Weight, anything more than 230 lbs. Most important aspect for such kind of superhws is the stamina. And a decent chin, it's enough that it doesn't crack with single shots.
If possible from a small and completely unknown country, like Brunei or something alike. But at least not American or British. Very young, so he can rule for many years to come, driving the nationalist extremists to near insanity. Huge in size, with loads of power and not afraid to let his hands go, but also using many of the dirty tricks wich many of the former greats were known for. And a nice quiet guy outside of the ring, always polite never bragging or mouthing off. I would love to see the despair here if a guy like that ruled the heavies for a dozen or so years. Would be legendary! :yep
big like valuev footwork like Wlad, Lewis heart like Holyfield chin like Chuvalo/McCall athletic like Wlad jab like Ali, Holmes cool like Vitali, Ali hand speed like Chambers explosive combinations like Tyson power like Foreman show boating like Ali, Roy Jones and ... Norman Stone as trainer, so everybody has something to laugh about between rounds
I think it was Vitali. He didn't have the best heavyweight career (Ali) or the best single victory ever (Frazier UD Ali). But I think on his best night he would be the hardest heavyweight to beat.
