    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

The only way Ruiz is getting into the Hall of Fame is to buy a ticket like the rest of us!

Their standards are low, but not THAT low!

Definitly! Additionaly you could say he never ducked anybody, always came in shape and always gave everything he could. I like him and i will be there when he fights Valuev the second time and cheer for him.

never a fan of his. his offense consists of holding, then scoring with punches while in the clinch :-(

he has a solid resume and maximized his talents but never faced any of the three best hws in the recent era: Lennox, Vitali, Wlad.

i hope he loses to valuev so we can get a wlad-valuev fight in early '09 for the wba/wbo/ibf. that would be great :good

Like I said, the only way he's getting in is to buy a ticket.:yep

The only Hall Ruiz belongs in is the Hall of SHAME, for cheating his opponents with his illegal holding and disgraceful faking of "low blows" and for ripping off the fans of the legitimate boxing matches they paid to see.

Well, he wanted to fight Lennox but Lewis didn´t want to fight him. I mean Lewis would have won, no question, but you can´t look good against Ruiz.

Damned, what a hugfest Wlad-Ruiz would be.

Yes he's boring and spoils but untill he gets ktfo again (Tua) hes just gonna keep getting title shots , as much as i dont care for him i respect that he been a 2 time world champoin and he has some good wins on he's record but its time for the quiet man to stay quiet for good

Chagaev has. The scoring of this fight was awful, Chagaev clearly beat him in quite a good fight.

Don't have many positive things to say about Ruiz other than he never avoided fighters who were far superior than him. If Ruiz had the opportunity to fight any of the top 5 heavyweights tomorrow, win or lose he'd proabably take the fight. Ten years from now only hardcore boxing fans will remember John Ruiz. That's pretty much it.

He is a two time Heavyweight champion of the world. Other guys like McCline, Golota, Schulz, Meehan, Krasniqi, Barrett or other solid but not world class guys would have liked to be HW champ at least one time.
So theres nothing wrong about Ruiz.

Well, there is enough positive about him to say:
    - like you said, he would fight anybody
    - always showed up in-shape - not that common today
    - always gave his best
    - always respectful

Well, that´s more than you could say about nearly all the other American hws. What´s interesting that these points also fit with nearly all fighters from Eastern Europe. :think
