Desert Storm- why is he so underrated and unpopular?

Tim Bradley has had a great career so far and is unbeaten with an excellent resume. In his time at 140 he was undoubtedly the number 1 LWW in the world. At 147, he has a win against Pac to win a world title and 1 defence against Prov in a FOTY candidate.

Resume wise, I think Bradley's best win was to unify the LWW belts against Alexander. At LWW, he also beat Casamayor, Holt, Witter and took Peterson's 0.

I think that he lost the Pac fight and that the judging was a discgrace but Bradley did nothing wrong. He got injured early in the fight and carried on fighting until the end. He offered Pac an immediate rematch which was declined by team Pac. Bradley then opted to fight a low profile monster puncher and stood toe to toe with him and won a great, memorable fight. Surely the Pac chapter of his career can't be held against him.

Bradley is a model professional, he trains very hard for every fight and always gives 100%. Realistically, he is the best fighter at 147 not called Floyd yet he still receives hate.

If Bradley was British he would be very popular amongst the British fans (we always appreciate our top fighters.)

He was pretty popular before the whole Pac debacle and after merely surviving Provo his popularity has reached a new low.
And he did do something wrong after the decision and that was claiming that he won the fight 8 to 4 and the whole world saw it wrong except he, his team and the judges.
If they give him another undeserved nod over JMM he might become one of the most unpopular fighters around.

Much of the hate comes from his head-butting and of course, unless he secures a believable win over JMM, he will always be that boxer who got a bull**** decision over Pac.

His supposed win over Pac, although probably helped his career, destroyed what little reputation he has.

Then it might build up his popularity of course, but he has a long way to go and I can't see it happen either. He's the underdog for a reason.

He tried to make the Pac decision right by offering an immediate rematch...

Pac is the one that wanted no parts.

Manny felt he got robbed but wanted nothing to do with the rematch:think

Other fighters want to make things right...not Manny...it must be cultural:think

His style puts people to sleep. The only reason he got a little more popular with the Provo fight is because he was forced to engage by Provo and people saw he has some fight in him. The Marquez fight will not be like the Provo fight. It will be a gentlemanly boxing exhibition, with neither man overly pressing the action.

What? He definitely got back in my good books (I think this is the general consensus) for putting on such an insane fight. He didn't need to but he tried to prove something in there. Gotta respect him for taking the amount of punishment he did and not backing down he just kept on throwing. Guy is legit as ****.

    he style isn't great
he doesn't have a massive fan base
    he doesn't score many KOs

the pac robbery will do him no favours in the eyes of many fans cant belive many didn't take the 2nd fight

but he is a good fight tuff as nails and real will to win - I think prod fight will have taken a lot out of him that's two fights running where hes been hit hard and often against too more than fair punchers

Nobody wanted to see the rematch. It was a clear Pac win, at the same time as being a rather one sided/ boring fight.... not a close exciting fight that could have gone either way.

Fighters want to make money, and since Pac had already dominated Bradley, the rematch sells even worse than their first.

It's not like in the eyes oof the public he lost the fight, the only person who would have benfited from a rematch is Bradley.

I think it was his attitude after the Pacquiao fight. Heck, for some people it may have started when he opted to wait for Pacquiao instead of facing Khan.
