For sure I would be a massive fan of ward if he adopted the high risk/reward strategy as Carl froch, however, It doesn't take away from the fact that Ward is the best.

Calzaghe is a prime example of a fighter i couldn't bring myself to be a massive fan of. His career was handled very carefully by old fish eyes, reluctant to travel until he new he could beat up on once great American fighters. Loads of bull**** wbo uk based fights etc etc. But again, calzaghe was a very good fighter who imo opened himself up to criticism because of the choices he made in his career. Makes the 46-0 record a little hollow imo.

    There aren't many like Froch.

I've seen enough video of Joe Cal to know exactly why he didn't step up his level of competition.

    Dont be ridiculous :patsch
You had 2 champs, who were willing to put it on the line and 4 other fighters being given lucky shots, and no the title wasnt undisputed after because when Ward had the opportunity to put it on the line like Froch and Kessler did against Bute, he didnt take it. Shows why this thread credits the fighters that took the chance

Hasnt gone unnoticed for AA, but he had everything to gain. He had no real SMW pedigree, but given a chance to fight in big fights and win a title, not lose a title he was already wearing like Froch or Kessler.
For the fighters who travelled the S6 was draining and AA like Froch did stay the course

Funny thing with that comment is that when you look at Wards biggest win, it is an unwell fighter who was rusty, that Calzaghe took the 0 of
