Despite Cotto having no chance, Floyd should get MUCH more credit than Pac vs Cotto!

jesus. This is the story of floyds career. He fights a guy he should have fought years ago, and all of sudden he's rejuvenated / in the twilight of his career. :patsch This the game Floyds been playing every since he moved up to welte.r He retires when these guys are on top of their games, then comes back and catches them when there older and are holding a belt or something. Then he can say he beat the "#1 JMW in the world" which really doesnt mean ****. Mosley / and Cotto were both in Floyds weight division, in Floyds prime, when they were at there best, and Floyd dipped out.

Answer the question *****. Why did Pacquiao and his entire team FORCE the fight at 145lbs? What was the reason?

Who cares ****. 145 meant nothing .Cotto said it himself. Go look it up. He said he felt "great at the weight" - after the fight.

Did he look drained to you in the fight? He weighed 146 in his previous fight. 145 against Judah too. GTFOH.

As a Mayweather fan, I'm not buying it. Cotto is a good B+ fighter, no more no less. He hasn't gotten any better since the Pac fight. He's not rejuvenated. If we're going to call BS for Pacquiao fighting old names, weight drained and/or overhyped fighters, the same rules apply to Floyd. Floyd is going to do a Gatti on Miguel Cotto. Floyd will receive no praise from me. Cotto's popularity exceeds his skills in the ring.

Pacquiao was the smaller guy, the top guy, Cotto and DLH weren't even thinking about weight, they were thinking they would walk in and kick his ass. And I bet most fans thought DLH would mop the floor with Pacquiao when that fight was initially announced.

Well we'll find out this week. I know people don't believe Floyd can lose this fight but if somehow Cotto was to pull it off, i'm interested in seeing the reason of the Pacquaio fans and what they will say.:yep

    All depends on his performance.

Regarding the Cotto-Pacquiao fight, even though it was team Pacquiao's request to make it at 145, Cotto is the one that accepted. At first they tried to get him lower than 145 and Cotto made it clear that it's 145 or go home and they agreed. So if anyone wants to blame someone for that, blame them both.

I take it that you don't know that pac was coming from LWW before the cotto fight and just weighed 138 for it? his fight against oscar was seen as a fluke that time and was not considered a real WW win by most boxing fans. Pac came 142 against oscar and 138 against hatton with only 3 fights above 130. cotto meanwhile weighed 146 against clottey before the fight and cotto was not considered a big WW. 145 is a perfect concession for both sides and cotto and pac was almost a split odds back then in ESB.

Even with a catchweight, Pac was the smaller guy. He looks like a lightweight, even today.

Bottom line is Cotto agreed ot the catchweight, and he said it wasnt a problem. Nobody had a problem with it. It's just something haters nowadays use to discredit the victory.

Cotto was even a year younger then Pac. I like Cotto, but he got his ass whooped, fair and square. If Pac rematched Cotto today, haters would be all over him.

oh btw, Cotto said after the fight "He's the best fighter I've ever fought." Stop making excuses, Cotto made none.

Of course you can't believe it now, the results have been out for 3-4 years.

Fact is, you can play "Mr. Predictor 2012" but back then DLH was seen as a huge favorite with almost NO ONE giving Pacquiao any chance. I don't think you predicted Pacquiao to dominate DLH as he did, even if you said you did you're a liar.

The Cotto fight however, many fans thought of it as 50/50 and MANY picked Cotto despite the odds heavily favoring Pacquiao.
