Despite Cotto having no chance, Floyd should get MUCH more credit than Pac vs Cotto!

Catchweights exist for a reason. Cotto was the first real, live WW Pac was facing. I think Cotto was more than happy to lose the extra 2 lbs. He never once complained about it before or after the fight. And there was a poll on this board which indicated that half thought Cotto would KO Pac before the fight happened. No one on this board complained about Cotto having to drop 2 lbs. At last i can't recall.

This is just all bull**** after the fact. Nothing more. Had Pac gotten KTFO, people would've said Cotto picked on a midget. The winner never gets full credit.

I think the issue with the Cotto that fought pac wasn't weight but the fact that he didn't have a proper trainer.

Floyd would get credit if he fought Cotto when he was undefeated and running through everyone at 147, not now that he's damaged goods. He chose to retire (temporarily) instead. He's about 5 years too late.

Cotto came in at 146 for his fight with Clottey which was 5 months before the Pac fight so why are you crying about 1 lb if Cotto isn't.

Cotto in the new version or the old version look the same to me. If Floyd beats Cotto this coming weekend, he should get a little more credit (not much credit) than Pac beat Cotto. Don't forget that Pac is smaller than Cotto while Floyd is not. They both are about the same size.
