Despite his flaws, I think Wilder will unify

I'm no fan of Wilder whatsoever and I hope it's AJ who comes out on top, but you can't ignore Wilders power despite who he's been fighting

I just think Wilder is all wrong for AJ. Keeps throwing his jab, has really good speed tbh, obviously unreal power and I think his most underrated asset is his stamina

What does help AJ is the fact that his worst feature is his stamina. If AJ can't get wilder out early and gasses he has no chance

For his long list of his flaws Wilder does have some unique skills that unfortunately make up for them

    Maybe.

But until Wilder steps up against the top guys its difficult to know how good he is.

I think it's more to do with Joshua's rep taking a hit from Takam than Wilder's being enhanced by Buffet 2. I'm not that impressed by Wilder knocking over Buffet in round 1 when Derric Rossy managed the same first.

AJ vs Wilder will happen in 2018......my odds on that fight would be ...AJ favorite at 8/5

Hahaha, stamina. Wilder only has 1 gear, even G Washington was out-landing him. Now in my head i'm imaging AJ in G W's shoes and unloading on Deontay at will, with his brittle legs stumbling all over the ring trying to not get caught. AJ fights at a much faster pace than anybody Wilder has met before.

    1. Wilder get away with his wild swinging against bad opposition. Thus look more powerful than he is.

    2. When a big and strong boxer stalks and clinches with a small and weak boxer. The later Will gas out earlier. Despite great condition against small or slow plodders.

There is that. Joshua will KO that freakshow early on.

I mean I wouldn't entirely rule it out, all of the HWs currently have considerable flaws and Wilder certainly has the power to knock out both Joshua and Parker. It's just of the three champions I believe his flaws are the most glaring so while he could beat Joshua and Parker; it is my assertion that it's highly unlikely he'll actually beat both of them and I think this is reflected in his resume/performances thus far.

G Washington was out-jabbing him , not out-landing him. Joshua doesn't have much of a jab. And as soon as Washington got clipped he got taken out.
Thats the fear Hearn has - if Wilder catches Joshua he will finish him.

AJ has no jab(Goes toe2toe with one of the best jabs in history) *Puts head down and nods at your failure to recognise jabs at work)*
Washington's jab was pathetic as well. Both afraid to throw jabs. How the hell are you going to defend yourself against an accurate, powerful jab like AJ when he's landing it at will, from different angles and you have nothing but a right hand in reply? I actually feel sorry for Wilder.

If Washington wasnt out landing him how come he won all of the first 4 rds ? I think you wanted to say something else there cuz who cares if he s landind with jabs or hooks, the judge will still give him the rd

Spilka also was winning the rds untile the inevitable happend.

Its not hard to outbox Wilder, that why his team are very carefull with his matchmaking.

Deontay Wilder is never going to outbox Anthony Joshua. Joshus is the better all-around boxer. Everyone with eyes can see that. Nobody in the division, Tyson Fury included, is going to outpoint Anthony Joshua. (Fury doesn't throw enough punches in a round to turn the trick and cop a decision, either.)

The fact is both Wilder and Joshua have knocked out everyone they've fought. So who cares who is the better boxer?

The winner will be the guy who knocks out the other one.

Anything less, and everyone will be disappointed (IN BOTH GUYS, frankly).

If this fight goes 12, that means nobody watching got what they came for.

Either guy can win by KO. That makes it a 50-50 fight. Flip a coin. They could fight 10 times, and both guys could stop the other five times.

That's why I want to see it now. And see it as often as they're willing to fight.

    That's it. Bottom line.

Let's see a trilogy. Let's see four fights. Let them fight once a year from 2018 to 2022.

But let's get this show on the road.

Would you want to see GGG face Lemule every year for 4 years straight? because that's how far apart the skills are of both of these competitors, make no mistake about that. AJ is far and beyond Wilder's skill-set.
Aj just needs to neutralise that right hand, just as GGG stayed out of range of Lemules range and slowly worn him down. Wilder has no plan B, this is what I'm getting it, I don't think his plan A is enough to knock out AJ. Who's already been rocked hard by Wlad's right, who many consider one of the hardest punches of al time.
