I was all set to give this one a miss. I used to be a massive Fury fan, but his antics and inactivity over the years really wore me down to the point where I found I couldn't muster up even the slightest bit of interest in him anymore. But last night I found myself tuning in for old times' sake, and despite all my apparent apathy and disinterest at the joke comeback, just seeing Tyson back in the ring again, clowning around and gurning to the camera, flicking out his octopus jab and shoulder rolling like a pro, I found a big smile creeping across my face. I honestly never realised how much I had missed this crazy b*****d. Yes, the fight was trash, and Tyson still has a long way to being back to his best, but after the layoff, the scandals, the depression and all the other jazz, just seeing Tyson back in the ring was enough to rekindle me as a fan. I hope this isn't false hope, but I'm willing to throw my chips in again. WAR FURY! (but lose the spare tyre first)
Yeah, I really am. Of course, it's with the belief that he's heading towards higher things, and not just engaging on a bum tour for a couple of extra quid.
Even at his best wilder and Joshua both demolish him as neither guy will show him ant respect like Wlad did.
Needs to shift the 25-30lb of lard and fight a proper contender if he wants any hope of fighting Joshua within 12 months. Bellew would be the best option but not if the plan is Seferi-Cornish-Bellew. That has a Haye style disaster written all over it.
In Manchester on 9th of June, A crowd came forth to see, A 6ft 9 crazed gypsy loon, Fight Sefiri Sefiri, There was no KO nor blood or gore, To sate the baying masses, They really needed something more, To get them off their asses, He played the fool he played the clown, He capered and guffawed, But Tyson let the punters down, And left them feeling bored, But alls not lost at least he's back To continue with his story, Let's hope a better boxer fights, Next time with Tyson fury,
