Cain looks nothing like a future ufc champion to me and i aint so sure on carwin he stood and banged with gonzaga and got badly rocked even with carwins power i think he would lose to rogers if he tried banging with him.

Just watch them fight, the difference in talent, skill, and god given attributes is just so obvious.

Watch them fight opposition no betetr than rogers so how can you really judge both showed weakness in their toughest fights but came through, rogers just hammered the toughest fighter he faced off against.

None of this is my point, but what the hell, why not.

Kongo and Gonzaga are both better fighters than Brett Rogers, just as Velasquez and Varwin are. It is just plainly obvious. Outside of pure quality, stylistically they both just walk through him.

It's not a coincidence that Josh Thompson get the first takedown of his life against Rogers. I saw Carwin stand up from under Gonazaga and drop him with one shot. I saw Cain outgrapple Kongo worse than anybody ever has. Not to mention showing off a chin made of iron.

In a fight with Rogers Cain easily gets the takedown and grapples his way to an easy win. Carwin gets the takedown easily as well if he wants it, but he isn't as smart as Cain IMO, but even then, he can match Rogers power, but has so much more of a complete game.

Cain and Carwin beating Rogers isn't my point though. Cain and Carwin are two options that are towards the bottom of the list that Fedor has as potential opponents in the UFC, Rogers is towards the top at Strikeforce. The bottom options for Strikeforce/M1, especially M1 is very very much lower than Cain or Carwin. We know M1 is willing to have Fedor fight Zulu, and Middleweights.

Carwin and valasquez are pretty much top of the chain in ufc though the winner of their upcoming fight will get a title shot so that puts them right at the top of possible fights if fedor went to the ufc.
Also in regards to cain having an iron chin he was dropped badly by kongo and although he recovered imo that certainly isn't an iron chin, chin wise i would compare him to a more prime wanderli silva decent chin but an excellent recovery.

Well you still got Lesnar, Mir, possible rematch with Lesnar, maybe Randy, and then I would imagine the UFC would pick up some HW's for Fedor if they run out.

Not all of those guys would go before Velasquez and Carwin, thats not what I mean. I think they are both future contenders, Velasquez a possible champion someday.

Carwin, Velasquez, Dos Santos; thats the minimum quality Fedor would ever fight in the UFC, and thats only if he goes through at least Lesnar and either Mir or Randy depending on who looks better.

That might be a better description of it. It shows that he doesn't seem the type to just get flash KO'd. He not only survived, it flipped a switch in him to get his offense going. Sounds like another HW....:think

As far as competition, UFC will have the most efficient cycling of good fighters because they have more money than anyone else. They can buy anything in MMA world.
