Im leaning 60/40 in favor of Wilder, just as other people have mentioned; speed and age, we will know early on how this pans out, all depends on what Ortiz has left.

I like to mock Wilder for his amateur style and awful grammar/delusional ideas but he does have that KO right hand and a decent amount of speed. I do believe its pretty clear he has a dodgy chin though. He loses 9 times out of 10 against a top level HW, unfortunately Ortiz was a top level HW 4 or 5 years ago.

Im going with Wilder late stoppage or UD. IMO Ortiz doesn't have enough left, but I won't be surprised if he does land on Wilder and lay him out.

Did Haymon get options on Ortiz? Old Man Ortiz is very old, the nursing home does not have a training area for him, so he spars with 90 year old men using walkers.................and some 90 year old women................if Ortiz were to knock Wilder out, he will be framed, just like before......................

I will speak in the present tense: 'Ortiz IS going to knock out Wilder'.

I m going wilder. Ortiz is skilled and a good fighter but its a bad match up for him.

Ortiz usually invites guys in to trade with him and counters using his deft footwork. Because he's a big solid lump he outlasts them. Doesn't mind taking one to give one. Just watch the Jennings fight. Pretty sure Jennings hit him more that Ortiz hit Jennings but his punches have more of an effect than vice versa combination of it being on the counter and hes quite heavy handed.

He needs you to step into that space tho to be effective. Jennings done it fell into the trap. Wilder with his length with box him from the outside. Won't need to step into that space. Still an interesting fight because Ortiz is a good fighter but he can be nuetralised from someone with the length of wilder who is also pretty decent from the outside. Good match up for wilder. They,ve been smart about it...eventually took on a good guy but also a guy that suits their style perfectly. Looking forward to it.
