ive been boxing about ten years, and my jab has become a bigger and bigger weapon over time. i am now able to keep guys outside and tattoo them jabs and cover up if they get inside. il admit my opponents often have little boxing experiance, but are often bigger than me by about 20 pounds or so. anyways im curious if anyone has some insight on highly advanced jabbing techniques, is wrights tremendous jab mostly natural or did he work really hard to develope it? how can i improve my jab?
Ain't Wink a converted southpaw? He's using his strong arm and can see better out of his right eye - that's a big part of it. Try converting to the opposite stance and work on throwing hard straights on a heavybag with your left. Practice shooting that left hand. A good jab is just a compact version of a straight with your lead hand.
