shakur and tank aren’t fighting him at 140. I think they are going to feed him to Teofimo and he will be destroyed ..

Haney outboxed Garcia over stretches of the fight, and adjustments can certainly be made in the gym prior to a rematch.

Obviously, Garcia now possesses a significant mental advantage over Haney and would justifiably be favored in second bout.

But it isn't as if Haney had no success and was simply beaten from pillar to post for 12 rounds. Hell, I gave the kid 5 rds.

 

Floyd did not wait till the weigh he realised fight week and told Marquez team so they came to and accomodation and importantly Marquez did not have to strain to make weight like Haney. Team Haney were amateurish on this.

 

Floyd failed to make weight. Garcia failed to make weight.

If you are criticising one, you are criticising the other.

 

Haney definitely doesn't need to retire, that's silly.

But I do think last night showed why he'd have no chance at 147. I thought a key in the fight was Garcia's ability to neutralize Haney's jab simply by throwing & walking through it. That doesn't bode well for Haney, being so jab dependent.

He's still a blue chip fighter, just think we have seen his limit and it's likely going to be short of top 5 PfP. And that's okay. Love him or hate him, Haney challenges himself in a way very few fighters do. How many guys have a competition level that can approach Haney's five most recent opponents?

Stop! This is what's wrong with today's boxing fans you lose one fight and then all of a sudden you're written off as a bum who was never any good who should retire. No he shouldn't retire He's 24 FFS he took an L and he still has alot left. Hopefully Haney will get rid of his father get a new trainer and come back better than ever.

I'm glad Haney got his Karma and I don't even like Garcia. Belt should be vacated because you're right, missing weight should be punished, but Haney agreed to the weight and still lost.

I was saying for quite some time Haney is nothing special, he been feasting on small older guys while he been a weight bully , we see finally when he fought a guy his own size in weight and age he got found out..

His natural attributes are limited to say the least, he has so many , no great hand speed , no great power, no fast reflexes to avoid punches , open to all sorts of counters , no great ring IQ or adjustments mid fight when plan A not working.

I predicted Garcia would stop Haney, I wanted my British guy Adam Azim to do it first and I knew soon as Garcia Vs Haney was made it's spells trouble for Haney because Haney got nothing to keep Garcia off him... If Garcia was in better condition he would of finished Haney in the 8th he lucky he saw the final bell..

Garcia is God gifted with hand speed and power , so is Adam Azim the future king of 140... You can't train that .. you born with it..

 

Haney is confirmed to weigh 165 in the ring its likely we weighed just as much if not more than Garcia in the ring, so wheres Ryan's advantage ? All he did was not drain himself

 

I think Garcia looked bigger and stronger to my eyes but Haney fought a dumb fight and could do with a better trainer than Dad Bill.

 

Has anyone heard from Bill. He might be on suicide watch right now.
