Although I think that the fight with Linares wasn't his greatest performance, and think that Linraes could have finished him, I still believe that Heney is a very good technical boxer.

Give him a few years and he may well become great.

I don't like the way he is being attacked by the boxing world. Particularly by Ryan Garcia.
Linares is no push over. That man is tough as a nail and has been in the ring with a few very good fighters.
Devin took the fight knowing that Linares wouldn't be an easy fight. Ryan Garcia on the other hand, ducked Linares bigtime. He also pulled some excuse about Anxiety and mental health to avoid Javier Fortuna.

With skills like Heney has, he doesn't need hands of stone. He needs to box. And if the KO comes, so be it.
The people/ boxing pundits attacking Devin Heney and smack talkin him , should be ashamed of themselves. He has worked hard to get where he is today.

He should be ashamed for comparing himself to LOMA.

Loma, who is natural 126 pounder, stop fresh Linares and he is not a puncher, Devin said that he is better than him, he has all the natural advantages, like height, reach, size, he is easily 140 pounder but could not do the same with 3 years older LInares who was stopped 2 times in the past 3 years.

    Those are facts, nothing personal.

HE is another hypejob, and Hearn is paying him something that he does not deserve, like that belt he got fighting NOBODY.

He was when he was fighting an old gatekeeper two years ago.

Power wise, Haney should be embarrassed with his last two performances. Two shot glass chinned featherweights and he hasn't hurt either of them.

As much as I despise the way Devin “Hugs of Steel” Haney finished the Linares fight,

At least he had the balls to step into the ring & not only fight Linares , but he also went for the KO.

More then we can say for
“Queen Ry” popping sh!t on the sidelines.

A hypejob because he couldn't stop a former world champion & top world contender? We all know Haney isn't a puncher & considering that, he did very well. He won like 9 rounds at minimum. You also left out that one of those stoppages was at 140lbs - where linares (who has always been chinny) was severely undersized. It's fans like you why we no one wants to step up nowadays.

Haneys power isn't something we already didn't know about. I don't know why people keep going on about it like it's shocking. All of a sudden Linares is a gatekeeper because Haney beats him? Sounds like selective criticism to certain fighters.

This is why we don't get to see the fights we want. Because entitled, overly critical fans who sit back behind a keyboard, bash fighters they don't like for stepping up & attempting to be great. Haney has no power. We all knew that from the Gamboa fight. So why is it shocking that he couldn't stop Linares? Not everyone can be a puncher. He won the fight comfortably (bar a few rocky moments late in the fight). We should be praising young fighters like him when they step up. Instead, you're quick to criticise, but not quick to praise fighters when they do something right.

Devin is a racist pillow fisted hypejob. Hes nothing special at all. Just a standard good fighter who's been gifted belts by email. Who's been given money and fame on a plate without any achievements worthy of that

Unbelievably deluded how he had the nerve to even compare his talent to Lomachenko. Never could he ever be anywhere near the level of Lomachenko.

Loma beat Linares but he got knocked flat on his butt. He stopped him with a body shot but still, that's Loma right. That shouldn't happen to him. Before that happened it was a fairly even fight. However with Haney, there was no doubt that he was schooling Linares. He got shook but he didn't fall down. He showed his grit and he did what he had to do. Loma been fighting for a thousand years but Haney is only 22 and the way he handled Linares was much better than the way Loma did. Right now he is much better than Loma was at 22 and I like his skill set much better than I do Loma's because he has so much that he can add to his fight game, while Loma is a finished product.

Loma was at his peak at 26. Haney will get stronger. The question I have is, how woukd a 22 your old Loma do against the Lineras Haney fought? I know Loma may have been smaller, but just a question.

By 22 Loma had won an Olympic gold, a world amateur gold & a val barker trophy.. he'd also beaten fighters like Valdez, Ramirez, Toledo, conceicao , Selby, Selimov, Verdejo etc.. Haney got emailed a belt & cherry picks near shot fighters that would have probably murked him in their better days LOL.. Linares' performance was quite suspicious in retrospect too.. he couldn't be allowed to burst that bubble.. Haney would never live down losing to an inactive 36 year old

At 22 Haney is a world champion whenever you get through talking. I believe that with the skills he has now, he would have beat everybody that Loma had beat in the so-called amateurs. If I am correct, Loma just got beat by a 22 year old. He got outboxed and Haney's boxing skills are better than Teo's IMO. Haney's professional record is better than Loma's. lol. Loma is 14/2 and Haney is 26/0 and he is only 22 while Loma is 33. Loma is vastly over rated.
