Didn't the Monster struggle to just make weight? Make a thread about Inoue being a weight bully as well. Haney is still young. Hasn't fully filled out yet. Personally, I don't buy into this weight bully BS. If a fighter makes weight and does it legally, then so be it. No rules were broken, made the contracted weight, what's the issue? It's not the fighters responsibility to restrict his weight gain after the weigh in. If fighters are given an unfair advantage or it is deemed dangerous, then that responsibility falls into the lap of the sanctioning bodies to change the rules. To me it's no diffrent from a fighter training at high altitude to increase stamina, or bringing in a nutritionist to help lose weight safely during camp or a strength trainer to help a fighter become more explosive. How are these advantages any diffrent than being heavier on fight night?

I think Loma will accept that fight in March.

But rematch will not happen after he beats Haney, since he can barely make that weight. His natural weight might be higher than Buds.

They're going to struggle to get a March date because ESPN will be preoccupied with March Madness. The NCAA tournament brings in ten times more money and viewership than Lomachenko vs Haney. There's no way that they would choose to broadcast a fight instead of the tournament. Haney is delusional.

No such thing as weight bullying.

Haney looks legit terrifying during a weight in. Inoue probably didn't want to make an unnecessary, drastic cut and miscalculated by few inches.

I can understand that. But Haney is what....22, 23. His body hasn't yet filled out. He may feel good making weight one fight and the very next struggle. Regardless, not an issue if weight is made legitimately.

Inoue went off screen for a few minutes and came back under the weight limit. Hardly struggling.

Probably a miscalculation on Inoue's part, like someone said, but I'm not concerned with that. Weight bullying doesn't exist.

It has been clear for a while that Haney is a weight bully. Even with his size advantage he’s got zero knockout power in addition to a paper chin. Imagine what would happen to him if he got clocked by someone who rehydrates the same as him.

Anyone who says weight bullying isn’t a thing is just ****ing stupid - it absolutely is. Fighters cut excessive weight and hydrate loads in the ring because it benefits them. Why else would they do it? Yes there becomes a point where a fighter can no longer excessively cut and rehydrate as they will be drained, but they obviously don’t do it for this reason…they do it for as long as they see the benefits of size advantage, and size advantage is huge advantage and can negate skill advantage if there isn’t a sizeable skill gap.

Size advantage can have different effects such as : increased punching power, increased punch resistance and the fighter having more strength to impose their strategy.

Weight bullying is exploiting loopholes but it is basically cheating, unfair and good way for promoters to overhype a fighter into making out they’re something they’re not
