This no ko power nonsense. If Haney really was so feather fisted then why didn't Kambosos simply just walk through his punches to land his own thunderous leather? No fighter can ko every opponent that he meets in his career. As for weight bullying, that's something that younger fighters get away with. Not sure if it should be stopped.
It's a tall order for small guys moving up through weight, but again, it their decision to do so. Can't feel to sorry for the guy that puts his arm in the tigers cage and pulls back a nub. Should have known better.
So is training at high elevation or sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber cheating because it helps the body make more hemoglobin so more oxygen can be delivered throughout the body increasing stamina? Advantages of great stamina are, ability to work at a higher rate for longer periods of time, faster recovery time, ability to take shots by not being fatigued, ability to maintain strength for a longer period of time. Now ask yourself, if you are a fighter, do you want superior stamina or a 15-20 weight advantage over your opponent. Before you answer, watch Manny, Usyk and Loma fight guys that outweighed them. What do these 3 men have in common? Great stamina.
Anyone who cuts weight is technically a weight bully. That’s why I don’t give a damn. If you make weight, you get to fight at that weight class. Yea it has its advantages but so is being faster, stronger , and having better chin.
If you go to too much of an extreme you actually lose punch power and punch resistance. Its a fine line tbh. Canelo seems to have improved punch resistance and punching power moving up multiple weight classes. John Ryder was the same, as was ancient BHOP. GGG would be a revived fighter @ 175 lbs. 160 he looks about as dead as any fighter I have ever seen on the scales. 168 he looked much better but still very corpsish.
Damn.. I just had to look that up to confirm. Seems like I watched it on ESPN in previous years. Maybe most of the venues are booked or they just don't want to go head to head with those games. But with that in mind it still seems feasible to make the fight in March so Haney has a point.
In a world where everyone (except Manny, Floyd and Loma) walks around at least 25+ pounds over their fighting weights, no one is a weight bully. This topic is tiring
Weight Bully is a term used by haters to discredit fighters that they don't like period. They pick and choose who they call weight bullies based on if theyre a fan or not so people who use this term can't be taken seriously.
Fury is a weight bully in the opposite direction. Surely that fat pig could easily get down to 250, but noooo he has to lug around 270 so he can be heavier than his opponents.
