I don't think even Tyson fans are as pathetic as Loma fans. Hate a fighter just because he beat your guy... So strange. If you don't agree with the decision, fine, but that's on the judges.

And this whole "weight bullying" thing - those are the rules and no one forced Loma to fight at 135. Hell, I'd welcome if he did a Haney and went down to 122 to face Inoue. I'd love that fight, in fact. But, of course, the same air heads would then cry about how drained Loma was when Inoue beat his ass.

Pathetic.

As for this video, all we we need to know is that Haney called Davies out and he refused. Obviously he liked beating up on a teenager in the gym for free much more than facing the grown up version for actual money.

 

Which means nothing because there could be a million reasons why Davis refused than to automatically assume it must be because Davis is afraid or whatever.

The clip confirms something we've all suspected about Haney: he can't deal with pressure fighters. Tank proved it in this video and even for the adult version of Haney, Loma proved that weakness is still there. Keep in mind Loma was a lot smaller than Haney and was able to dominate him up close. If it were Tank in there, Haney wouldn't have had much of a size advantage and would've gotten his ass beat like in the sparring clip.

Just because a boxer is grown up doesn't mean their weaknesses went away. Sometimes it does, but sometimes not.

The only thing we can take from a 21 year old beating on a 17 year old is that the 17 year old isn't properly looked out for. If even Davies believed this had any bearing for a fight today he'd bite Haney's hand off when he called him out. It would be basically free money and a free belt. No chance in any universe that he'd pass on that.

That's such a given that it's embarrassing that I need to repeat it.

Haney got beat TF UP!

This is part of the problem I have with modern boxing though. I think Tank is a natural, great speed, power timing. But I don't think he is that skilled. I would think Mayweather and Pacquiao would dominate him. However then I see guys like Haney beating up chumps and winning all the belts, and then getting beat up by guys like Tank. I just don't see any of these guys on par with even the recent greats.

 

Knocked out? No. However outboxed and made to look pedestrian, yes.

 

That was a College level schooling.

HOWEVER....let's put it into perspective. Haney was 17, Tank 21. Haney was about 30 pounds lighter than the weight he is at in the ring.

Plus now Tank has Mohammed on his side and he wouldn't beat up a fellow Muslim like that anymore.

 

This means nothing. And Garcia is a clown for doing this. Absolutely an embarrassment to himself and boxing as a whole. But, this is where it’s all heading now.

 

That’s great but Tank is barely fighting a live opponent after seven years of soft touches. He should make the fight happen if he’s so sure of himself.

 

Context is everything

 

It is stupid to draw a conclusion from a video of a sparring session, since sparring means NOTHING at all.

But drawing a conlusion from an EDITED VIDEO of a sparring session is directly god level of stupidity.

This is not even the original video, it is heavily edited. What's next? scoring fights using highlights videos??? ohhh wait...... many of you already do it

 

Tank clearly is a very skilled fighter, it's such a shame he hasn't tested himself against the best. He's probably the best fighter in PBC's stable but he'll probably never get to prove it.

 

Haney has improved a lot since 17 while Tank is stagnating.

 

Honestly, Bill shouldn't have had so much to say about his son sparring Floyd.

He broke the gentleman's agreement that what happens in the gym stays in the gym.

 

Seriously desperate for anyone to actually think a teenager sparring has any relevance to that now adult undefeated undisputed 135lbs and current 140lbs world champion.
