i've seen a few of his sparring sessions, and i seen a few moments of his pro debut and he looks like he'll be a solid fighter. roid senior said he can be the next floyd, but i don't see it. he has skills but he doesn't have floyd's ring iq. someone who i honestly think has floyd's ring iq and would have beaten him to a pulp is errol spence. spence is a horrible style matchup for almost anybody. how far does baby faced haney go? i don't know how solid his chin is but from his facial and jaw structure(looks a lot like khan's) his chin would be cracked with a plastic pebble.
Pretty much impossible to say right now. Looks like a very good 17 year old, but thats about all you can say for now, from youtube clips Just checked and hes actually had his first 2 pro fights against weak opposition down in Mexico. Floyd sr speaks highly of him and he apparently beat up Gervonta Davis in sparring but thats all just Youtube talk for now. See how it goes.
anyone any idea who is managing him and sending him down to fight in TJ? not repo rick is it? looks like repo is in his corner...devin looks like a talent but his team would be wise to keep him away from border towns in mexico.
I think these Mexico fights are because hes so young. Ive seen a few fighters go pro young and have their first few fights down in Mexico because regulations are less stringent about age. Lots of commissions in America dont let guys that young fight professionally. David Benavidez did the same thing
He might just be back in it for a few quick paydays.... If it's true that he needs the money as badly as some are suggesting then I think he's just here to cash out in a big fight. De Mori, another stiff or two and then a big blockbuster fight with Joshua at Wembley this summer. The question is whether or not he'll be laying it all on the line here, if he's even 85% of what he used to be then he might have a shot at AJ. I'm not holding my breath though... Haye does bring a bit of life back to the division, but some of his antics take away just as much as he can possibly give.
:good I go to those Mexico fights at that pool hall because they have the most regular action in southern california area. They always have cards there and a lot of American fighters come down to get experience and build up there records. No danger in Mexico like people think it is.
