Comes down to money and promotions. Shakur is a popular and growing star, natural he gets a shot at a belt quick. On the other hand, you have 160lb Charlo who has held his belt hostage 2 years without fighting anyone! But since 160 is such a weak division with no stars on site, they let him keep it
shakur vs frank martin or who should he face. No real comp for him at 135 now, not that there was ever.
This makes me wonder what the hell Jermall Charlo is doing so right to keep his belt for so long when Haney is stripped just like this?
Interesting they never did this for Canelo or any "other" type of fighter you know what I mean I wonder why?
How would you see this going? I rate Stevenson, he's lacking in experience but obviously has the advantages of youth. Personally I think a prime Loma would probably pull it off, but at this point Shakur's combination of youth, size and skills is too much for him.
Although I strongly dislike Haney, it's undeniable that he has taken significant risks by facing tough opponents like Linares, Diaz, Kambosos, and the future Hall of Famer, Lomachenko. Stripping him of his accomplishments would be ridiculous, especially when you see Fury fighting side acts that have never boxed, let alone Charlo who spends more time on Instagram coked out of his mind or sipping on lean. WBC is a ****ing joke.
