Yeah bro I saw this, the guys a coward. This guy was getting rocked by smaller jojo diaz and shot Linares , imagine him getting clocked by a welter
This is why I want hydration clauses or same day/fight night weigh ins. Youre a welter? 147 lbs MAX at fight night.
I'm all for same day weigh ins, provided they shift the weights some, but there is no reasonable way to make sure they are stepping into the ring at an exact pound without endangering them. Like you could scale them 1 minute before the fight, but they'd dehydrate themselves and risk injury just to get the advantage. I think same day is good enough. Fighters aren't likely to kill themselves, and people can't gain 20+ pounds right before a fight.
Such butthurt losers. There are rules, Devin Haney operates within those rules. Don't blame the participants, blame those who write the rules.
Lol! And they have Loma listed at 5’7 and Haney is only supposed to be an inch taller than him. AN INCH TALLER!! Lol Yep… but nothing to see here!!! Haney is just a natural 135er that cuts the normal amount!!!
Crawford walks around at about 170-ish A still very lean 170-ish Haney is bigger than the current welterweight champion. Let that sink in Here's Crawford glugging down liquids after stepping off the scales at the weigh in for his last fight
We saw the difference with Loma here. Loma must be around 137 pounds in his fights. Haney is probably over 150.
Haney weighs 155 bare minimum in the ring. He's clearly a lot heavier than that there. The size difference between them is obscene. In terms of ring weight the difference is about the same if not more than it is between GGG and Haney, only difference is Haney doesn't just have a 5.5'' longer reach than Loma he has an even longer reach than GGG does (1'') Mauricio Sulaiman said Haney rehydrated to 157-159 for one of his fights If true and Bill Haney was there and didn't deny it was That's 22-24lbs And GGG's average fight night weight is 170 so the difference between Haney and Loma is even more than it is between GGG and Haney Loma looked healthy on the scales at 126 and he never looked ill, let alone like this Haney looks like a different species at weigh ins This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
That is crazy, but arent most world class/p4p talent type fighters 'weight bullies' at age 24? Idk... to me it seems the number of fighters that arent killing themselves to make the lightest weight possible at that age are in the minority.
No. Sure, the vast majority of boxers obviously cut weight, fight below their natural weight and rehydrate after the weigh in. But most are not rehydrating 20lbs, let alone 22-24lbs, and most fighters do not look like Skeletor on crack at weigh ins. I'd say the average is probably roughly about 10lbs or maybe 12lbs, although many obviously rehydrate more than that and rehydrating huge amounts of weight is more common in certain countries/regions than it is in others
