The sheer superficiality of some of your comments is stunning.

Loma took six rounds off against Haney? Two of the three judges scored two of the first three rounds for Lomachenko. After six, one judge had it 3-3 in what was a highly competitive, nip-and-tuck affair. Moreover, who says Loma's goal was a 7-5 decision? The kid tried like hell to close the show in RD 10. It should be obvious at this point that you're simply regurgitating intellectually lazy talking points.

So I once again feel compelled to ask--and this time I am not even being facetious--did you even watch the fight?

Since you've failed to produce a legit offer from Team Haney after Loma lost to Lopez, my point still stands that Commey and Nakatani were the best available post-Teo opponents.

Your opinion about Lomachenko's "hunger" etc are of entirely no consequence to me.

Finally, as for Shakur-Loma--- given that he's unlikely to return to 130lbs, Loma's three best money making options at 135 are 1) Tank 2) Haney re-match 3) Shakur fight. Options #1 and #2 appear rather remote at this point, which means Loma would almost certainly have to settle for #3. Whatever money is to be made from fighting Shakur would be higher if both men held championships, rather than if the two were fighting for a vacant title. I suspect Shakur wins and Loma retires either way (ie cashes out).

Feel free to have the last word. Perhaps we'll find common ground on another topic/thread.

That's some strong points about Loma not fighting hard enough all the way to the end i don't know why that is, it could be down to a few things as it's really cost him big more than those two times even when he can run with the fight he unnecessary has made it look closer than it shouldn't have to be & it makes me shake your head.

My final word is the punch stats:

https://www.*******.com/devin-haney-vasiliy-lomachenko-compubox-punch-stats--174775

In round 1, Loma landed 6-26
In round 2, he landed 9-49
In round 4, he was 6-43
In round 6, 7-42
9-47 in round 8
9-49 in round 9

And it's not like he was setting records in the other rounds, either. Look, man...

...These aren't f*cking heavyweights. This is supposed to be an ATG little guy. He's better than this, yet didn't open up until he perceived no further danger from his foe, who happens to be feather fisted. Why would he approach the fight in this way?

He's wrong for turning down Shakur like this. Stevenson is going to be a real headache to negotiate with if he starts collecting lightweight straps, and Vasyl isn't going to get very much for "waiting". He has no time to be playing the waiting game. This isn't a money fight, no matter how many times you tell yourself it is.

Thank you. Have a nice day.

So true & man is time already against Loma, in fact had he just went after Kambosos from the get go he wouldn't be sitting in this unlofty position in which he currently resides.

He's bad at the business of boxing. I'm not even sure what his end game is, but I'll always be convinced that he's never really cared all that much about the pro ranks. His angle, IMO, was to be the GOAT amateur, then join the pros and beat them at their own game.

His place in history will be hard to determine.

I've wondered the same thing for a long time now, just his nonchalant approach to his biggest fights/challenges makes you see it,

Don't get me wrong he is all pro when it comes to the task but even before the Haney fight he seemed to go through the motions during the build up while Haney as we know was clear to see how badly he wanted it & how big of a deal that fight & the magnitude of the stage was for him, perhaps it's just Loma's nature especially even more now with all the turmoil back in his country.

Alright. I'll bite. But the numbers aren't going to help you either.

Loma, according to you, refused to "open up" against Haney until the latter tired, posed no more danger etc. So how was it, then, that Loma threw more punches than Haney in 5 of the first 6 rounds? Doesn't exactly fit your narrative, does it?

I noticed, moreover, that Loma threw 55 punches in Rd 12, matching his highest output of any round in the fight. Haney, incidentally, threw 41 punches in the final round. Care to explain again how a fighter who purportedly lacks the requisite "hunger" to bite down on his gum shield throws more punches than his opponent in the final round? Or could it be that maybe, just maybe, a little more than "hunger" determines the outcome of a round (and a fight)?

You're right-- Loma is not a "f*cking heavyweight." Lomachenko threw 564 total punches against Haney, a bigger, longer, younger, equally fast opponent with excellent defensive skills. Yet your man Shakur threw 580 punches--a mere 16 punches more than Loma--in a twelve round decision against Valdez, a slower, defensively challenged, physically outclassed and outgunned opponent.

In Shakur's last outing he stopped Yoshino, another physically outclassed, hopelessly outgunned opponent in Rd 6. But let's compare Shakur's punch output over the first 5 rounds of that fight with Loma's output over Rds 1-5 against Haney:
SHAKUR: 33 42 50 45 52
LOMA : 26 49 50 43 55

Hmmmmm......well, that's seems awfully similar, no? And, unless my arithmetic is wrong, that means Lomachenko actually threw one more punch over the first five rounds against a much tougher opponent. Hey, man, why would Shakur approach a fight like that????

I like Shakur. At this stage of the game, I think he beats Loma.

But don't let anybody fool you, man, you aren't doing so hot, here.

So your counter is that he threw a whopping 55 punches in round 12 after outlanding his opponent 20-2 in the previous round. Great point. He allowed Devin Haney to steal the lsst round because he has no extra gear. He did barely anything more than he'd done throughout the fight, if you study his punch output per round. He threw weak **** while Haney landed punches with intent.

I'm not even a fan of Shakur Stevenson's style and I already told you that he isn't marketable, so I'm not sure why you think he's my boy. Still, Shakur is out there sitting down on his punches and throwing meaningful shots, not amateurish flurries that have people like you soiling their pants.

I'm tired of reading excuses for every one of Loma's losses. His fans are too blinded by ballet moves to see that he's losing the same way every single time and making no adjustments to his approach. It made sense to approach Teo with some caution, but Haney? LOL.

(...Although Haney did manage to bust his face up somehow...)

It's going to be the same thing with Shakur because Vasyl Lomachenko does not believe in taking chances. A dominant run at 135 would've secured his historical standing, but his tentative approach both inside and outside of the ring has doomed him to obscurity.

17-3, ducking a fourth loss to Shakur and another to Tank. He should retire now, before his fans run out of excuses.

Agree to disagree on everything regarding this guy. I don't see what you see... and I never have. I may not have enough sympathy in me to cry robbery for a fighter landing 8-9 punches a round at a 20% clip, but please accept my sympathy for all of his fans.

Take care?

This is a ridiculous statement. Tank ducks every dangerous fight anywhere near him.

Pivot much?

First, you brought up Loma's punch output and, using it as "evidence," suggested that he 1) took 6 rounds off and 2) lost the final round as a result of a "lack of hunger." I countered that he threw more punches than Haney in five of the first six rounds, more punches in the final round, and more punches overall. So, ummmm, yeah--- every one of those points totally and completely undercut your ridiculous assertions.

Now, you are a bit slow, but you're not so slow that you did not attempt to pivot from punch output to....... but Loma threw weak sh*t, man...Haney landed with intent!!

Of course, what else could you do when the guy you claimed refused to open up early in the fight or go for it in Rd 12, threw 24 more punches than Haney in Rd 12 and a whopping 150+ more punches overall?

Loma didn't sit down on his punches or throw any with intent? Who was hurt late in the fight--Loma or Haney? Here, I'll give you your next excuse now that I've obliterated yet another of your absurd talking points.....Yeah, Haney got hurt...he got a weak chin!

At 135lbs, Lomachenko is very obviously fighting naturally bigger men, but he has still managed to knock down or knock out 6 of the 9 guys he's faced at the weight. That doesn't sound like someone who's throwing "amateurish flurries." Oh, and by the way, Loma has 11 KOs in 20 fights; Shakur has 10 in 20 fights against inferior competition overall. So much for that argument. Seriously, man, you're batting like 0 for 6, here. Maybe you ought to retire.

In conclusion, let me say this: you don't like Lomachenko. That much is obvious. It's also your prerogative. But don't try to rationalize it with that superficial, third rate analysis and emotionally driven, pseudo psycho babble bullsh*t you've been peddling.
