I don't get what's going on with GRJ. There's a bunch of featherweights he hasn't fought, the whole 130 division (except a few he caught at 126). Why go after these bigger guys when he already has some hand problems?
Haney is in for a rude awakening. Thought he was slick calling out someone 1/3 his size. Unfortunately for Haney, GRJ can fight his balls off and will turn Haney's nose - which is the size of Montana in its own right - into the size of Texas within the first 3 rounds, before Haney kicks it in like a female dog and cries to daddy.
Imagine if Haney KO's him like he did Maron lol. I dont see that, but I see a great matchup non the less
If hes jumping up two weights then historically that tends to favour the fighter who is at the bigger weight but Gary Russell is a talent man and I wouldn't be surprised if he beats Haney , in fact I have a feeling he will.. The gulf in experience is fast & GRJ Hasn't sustained or taken any real damage or injury throughout his career either.. good fight.
The hypochondroplasia and macrocephaly stricken tombstone toothed munchkin is going to get his stumpy little ass paddled viciously and savagely gonked on the head, then sent sailing over the top rope. Haney will end up being mercilessly accosted on social media for engaging in the very un-PC practice of dwarf tossing afterward.
Haney is still young and inexperienced but he will have a massive size advantage. GRJ is better in every way but he’s giving up massive size in this one. I’m not a fan of these types of fights although you know I’m watching it. Just would rather see Haney fight real LWs. Many good young LWs to choose from, Tank (who ducked Haney), Garcia, Campbell, etc. If he beats GRJ it proves nothing. Russell is a better boxer but he’s giving up so much size. I don’t think he can hurt Haney and he will have very little margin for error. I would rather see with guy fight a similar sized opponent.
