Devin Haney vs Gervonta Davis possible

Pick em fight honestly. Haney could outbox Tank, Tank can knock out Haney.... it's an intriguing fight that needs to happen sooner than later.

I see a number of issues in Haney that someone who is just as much of an athlete (if not more) and can fight off the backfoot can exploit.

If I were directing his career: Bill Haney should keep Devin far away from Shakur, Tank and Teo. And in the next year and a half Antuanne Russell.

He should steer him towards Ryan, Rolly, Matias, Frank Martin J Ortiz etc...........or a showcase against the old man that beatup Rolly. Stylistically Devin would dominate someone like that.

I predict a Wilder style career trajectory... Waste prime on second and third rate opponents.
Get beaten unexpectedly by someone he underestimates.
Step up to guys he should've been fighting years before... Gets beat a few more times.

 

Simpler still... Just stay away from anyone his own size.

Keep on fighting with massive weight advantages in the ring - pick opponents who are decent, but where your physical advantage will make a real difference.

Haney is doing well by sticking to this method so far... It's not exactly honourable in my book, but he's not going to ditch a winning formula, I don't think.

 

Not happening. The money is an excuse. Davis and co., like Wilder, won’t take a fight with a threat until his twilight years. And Saudi is too even a playing field. They’ll want to drain Devin, put in Davis’ hometown and have only Haymon paid officials, at least.

 

You know it! they just dangle this stuff around for the casuals as they are easy to manipulate but really have no intentions of fighting specifically Tank.

Exactly how long has it been since Tank actually fought a top rated guy in his actual division without pulling them up from lower weights?

I can't forget the time he lost his nut when Floyd told him he's going to put him in there with Loma next hahaha plus the time he went on a tirade talking about how he didn't want to go to the UK & fight for the belt but was forced to go, Yikes!

Those two examples alone plus his yearly twitter cap wars will tell you about who has been avoiding the true tests.

I doubt that the fight happens Haney only takes a fight if he can rehydrate 11kg’s as that is the only way he can win and Tanks team won’t allow that.
