Taylor looked really vulnerable against Catterall. Could Haney beat him?

Yes, Josh Taylor is a solid tough fighter, but a regular quality fighter. Nothing special about him.

Taylor needs to move up as he's too drained.

Haney gets wobbled by much smaller fighters in jojo Diaz and Linares. There's a reason why Haney is fighting these smaller guys. Don't be shocked when he gets beat by guys his own size when he inevitably moves up. Can you imagine what a big Josh Taylor would do to him? Josh Taylor hits hard, and has the height and reach on Haney. Although Taylor lost to Catterall (there is a case for a draw) , he is a better fighter than Catterall and clear as day had an off night. It happens in boxing. Catterall would not beat Ramirez, Prograis, Postol (maybe the aging one now) , even Baranchyk would likely beat Catterall

Taylor destroys Haney, Taylor struggles to get in on southpaws not orthodox fighters and Haney's chin is still suspect to me

I'm no Taylor fanboy, but Josh would get into him and stop him. Devin can outbox Taylor for so long, but the Scotsman has the footspeed to avoid being kept at bay all night as well as enough physicality and punching power to exploit Haney's relative softness.

I think Taylor may be too rough for Haney to handle.

Haney is pretty damn good, I don’t really love his style but there’s no doubt he’s a tough out for anybody.

Haney has never fought at 140. You have to favor Taylor here.

This would be an interesting match. I think Haney could probably outbox Taylor, but if forced into a brawl Haney might take a bad asswhooping.

Taylor until I see how Devin performs at 140. I also don’t rate Devin that high. If he was Shakurs level he would Valdez Taylor imo.

I’d like to see Haney fight a legit LW before speculating. He’s fighting one next month so we will see. Josh looked bad in his last fight but he’s a solid champ and will be back. At this stage he punishes Haney but Haney is young and getting better. Time will tell.

Haney fights nothing like Catterall. Josh is proven at 140. Haney still has a lot to prove at 135.
