If an old Loma was capable of dominating Haney at a stretch, then imagine what a prime Chavez would do to him.

I think Haney would give Chavez problems, but ultimately the immense pressure would break Haney, and I see Haney taking a beating to the body down the stretch. I favor Chavez by UD Maybe a late round stoppage. Haney isn't quite there yet when it comes to these hypothetical matchups against past greats.

While I'm not on board the Haney train yet, Chavez wasn't exactly unbeatable at 140 pounds.

Good attributes and will win him rounds, but a two handed attack is needed to stop Prime Chavez.

Haney's elite jab was completely neutralized from the get-go by a 20lb lighter, near six inch shorter reach old past prime Loma. Granted Julio wasn't as slick or a defensive wizard like Loma albeit he could box and had underrated slickness and defence

Still find it bizarre how we have someone ranked in the P4P top 10 and is being hailed as a god who literally hasn't beaten anyone remotely close to his size and who should have a loss to an old past prime ''hype job'' who weighed four divisions less than him, with a near six inch shorter reach, with a 36 hour weigh in to rig the deck even more his favour, in his backyard with a home ref and three home judges which literally only happens in one country in the world for world title fights between a home and away fighter and is why all the officials for both Haney's fights in Australia against Kambosos came from neutral countries.

Beating a prime world champion your size should be the bare minimum requirement to warrant a P4P ranking and if it isn't then P4P is completely meaningless. Loma is an infinitely better P4P fighter than Haney is or will ever be

Anyway, Julio beats Haney's overrated gigantic weight bully ass into the dirt

Lomachenko outboxed and hurt Haney. Past prime Loma aswell, nowadays taking too long to get his punches off and taking off rounds. Hes trying to conserve energy against the weight bullies, and is underating his power.

Prime Chavez rarely stops, even when he doesnt look active hes ripping bodyshots and slowly chopping people down, Haney will have to fight out his skin to keep him off, he doesnt hit very hard. And he will be Leaving those ribs exposed all the while. Chavez was bigger slightly and hit harder than Lomachenko, whose prime was at super feather.

imagine what even a two division lighter Loma and Julio would do to Haney, let alone one division smaller or same size versions?

Now imagine what 1, 2, 3 or 3 division bigger versions would do? He doesn't make it out of round one

I don't really have very much doubt in my mind that JCC would stop Haney at 140. Prime Chavez really only lost to Pernell (yeah it was a loss not a draw) during that stretch and that was at 147ish.

Chavez handled multiple guys at or near that weight that were faster, bigger hitters, physically stronger and I would also say better boxer punchers. Haney is not a generational fighter, there is nothing he does that stands out at all.

Haney sucks he only wins based on his size and incredible rehydration skills which lets face it is probably with the use of illegal IV's he shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as all time greats he is a fraud.

Chavez wasn't in his prime vs Whitaker and that was at Welterweight which was Chavez's worst weight he never did anything notable at that weight.
