Head tells me a Stiff jab and solid right hand by Haney get it done.

Feeling tells me Prograis beats him.

Head or gut feel? Which one prevails?

I would love nothing more than to see Regis land a power shot and shatter Haney's glass jaw. I favor Haney by decision but this will be the first time he fights somebody close to his own size so maybe it will be too much for him seeing Haney has only been fighting guys who are much much smaller than him. The main thing that worries me is how much Regis takes out of himself cutting weight.

Haney is all wrong for Prograis. He'll jab him to death and land enough solid shots to prevent Prograis from bum-rushing. Haney decisions him to death by a wide margin in what will be a very boring fight.

I legitimately have to ask the people who think Prograis can win, especially by knockout...what about the Zorrilla fight makes you think that can even remotely happen?

Boxing is dead. People have been telling me that all day. Maybe they'll tell you that all day tomorrow. ;)

    LOL!

Agreed MP. Man Haney can gagf after that bs decision vs Loma. Absolute robbery.

He does cut a bit of weight doesn't he. I've noticed around his mid section he's kind of '' skinny fat '' But that's easy done with many boxers for reasons as you've mentioned. The weight cut.

    Every fight is different.

Just look at Buster Douglas vs Tyson for example.

Fights may be different, but styles make fights. Prograis looked flat-footed and confused with a fighter he had to chase around and couldn't bait into throwing so he could counter. And while I don't particularly enjoy Haney, he's Zorilla on every performance enhancer known to man. The only chance Prograis has is if Haney's desire to have his punches acknowledged makes him stand and trade, and even then only if Haney's chin problems were actual chin problems and not related to him cutting weight all these years.

My answer to that is that IMO Rougarou is much heavier handed than Linares, who had Haney on silly street.

Whilst Haney on points is the sensible pick, if Prograis fights to his best and catches Haney, a KO is not out of the realms of possibility.

    WAR ROUGAROU!

Rooting for Rougarou, but this will probably be a boring ud win for Haney.

That's an interesting observation but i do doubt Regis did that intentionally,

Haney has many great attributes & he just might stick to the basics for this one, who knows he might even drop/buzz or hurt Regis in this one though probably wont & stay on the safe side.

Ive never seen regis just follow somebody around like that but if you listen to the corner they said nothing of cutting off the ring and pressing that bum. Instead they said to counter punch the guy. Regis stayed on the outside and followed him around. I learned my first couple weeks not to follow somebody around and to cut them off. I dont know wtf he was doing. Can somebody have that kind of experience and just follow a bum around? i dont know. If regis beats haney then he suckered them into the fight. If not, devin shuts him out.
