I don't think he's overrated at all. He was the underdog against Davis, and he will be the underdog against Haney.

Everytime he's been the favorite he's won.

I think he is rated where he should be.

Now he is very popular, that's because of his charismatic personality, his huge social media presence and following, and besides his last two fights, he has an exciting style.

You gotta hand it to Garcia though, talked himself into 2 megafights within a year while never having won a world title. He won't win this one either, but man this guy is keeping boxing on the map. Im hyped for this fight.

Respect Garcia for being willing to take these big fights, but he is being paid handsomely to do so, and without the benefit of really having had to prove his worth in the ring beyond flashy stoppages of overmatched opponents.
