At 140 I am going to go with Lopez. The man showed a lot of skills when he fought healthily at 135. I think he has the quickness and power to bother and eventually stop Haney.
I want to see how Lopez does in his next fight before I can say one way or the other. If he can be in the form he was vs Commey or Loma then I would make him a small favorite. His style is harder for Haney than Kambosos was. Versus GK he had time to throw a fast jab and get out of range consistently. Lopez punches straighter and faster so he'll have to take some chances to score.
Lopez struggled with Nakatani and wanted nothing to do with taller fighters after that fight. Haney would beat him, but he might get dropped along the way
Haney was badly hurt and needed the bell to save him from a KO loss against a shot, old inactive way lighter Linares who hadn't fought in 15 months That is the only time Haney has ever fought a puncher He was scared of Kambosos' power for goodness sake and fought like a female dog, jabbing 'n grabbing the much naturally smaller and lighter man all night like a very poor man's Wlad trying to do a Floyd impersonation. He was rocked numerous times by tiny little career 126 featherfist leprechaun Jojo who had only stopped 2 of his last 12 for goodness sake. If Teofimo touches that stale biscuit chin of Haney's, and we're talking about Teofimo at his best not the worst version who clearly underestimated Kambosos, fought like a complete moron, and had a whole bunch of outside the ring problems to contend with going in, it's curtains and I don't see why he wouldn't because he's super fast, extremely explosive and athletic, skilful, and isn't a tiny little shot leprechaun Haney weighs two or three divisions heavier than.
