Good news if it happens. Edge to Loma. But I think Haney shows his grit and pedigree against Loma. Not a one sided victory.

I'm really on the fence in this fight, Loma is no kid anymore, if he is at 100% I might lean towards him. He is just around that age where a great fighter pulls out that last amazing performance, looking like they've turned back the clock.

Vasaya better go hard from round 1 to match or out do Haney, not taking rounds slow, got to process & react fast, he is now at a big disadvantage X 4 going in there.

You don't think the youth & size will be any factor here while Loma has had an extended break in between?

Plus who's to say that if it is a competitive fight going full rounds that the judges wont favor Haney over Loma.

Loma will surprise a lot of people in this one. He rises to the big occasion’s. And this fight is VERY important at this stage for Loma.

If the ref does his job properly and the judges aren’t bought off for scorecard corruption… Loma wins this. Comfortable UD or he’ll crack that suspect chin of Haney’s.

Devin’s dad having a meltdown afterwards will be beyond enjoyable to watch

Hope he does surprise us & i also said the same thing about the judges as we've seen how this goes.

Absolutely not, Haney isn't exactly going to force Loma to fight at a young mans pace because in reality Loma is the one with better stamina and timing even at this age

Speed is about equal, and Haney hates pressure fighters.

Yeah Loma wins easy, and I'm not even a big fan as i dislike his fanboys but i call it as i see it

You might be right though, corrupt judges may rob loma of his moment

I really hope they interview Paulie M after the fight or get his live reaction if Loma gets the KO in this one :lol::lol:

He does NOT like Haney or his father. Can’t really blame him either. Lol

    Haney 8-4 UD.

I think Loma is past his prime and he'll be at a speed disadvantage against Haney. I do think Haney is harboring a glass chin but Loma isn't a big puncher. And neither is Haney, so I think we get a distance fight. I can't see it going any way other than Haney winning a comfortable decision in the 8-4 range.

It will be a good fight while it lasts. I don't see a knockout happening but I do see age catching up with Loma and Haney will be walking him down in the eleventh and twelfth rounds.

Back before Teo beat Loma, I thought that if any of the young guys at lightweight we're gonna beat him, it would be Haney.

Figured he could keep him on the outside and prevent him from using his angles up close by holding.

Since then we've learned a fair bit about both of these fighters. Loma isn't the near invincible God of boxing skill that many were making him out to be, and Haney is severely lacking in punching power

I don't think Loma is totally past it quite yet, but I feel based on his last performance, I have to favour Haney maybe by SD.

Happy new year to everyone on the forum
