Solid win for Haney. He been getting flack for being defensive first and decide to be aggressive tonight. He got hurt in that last exchange in the 10 rd, but shook it off and got the win .

 

He won the fight, but the fact that he cant even concede that he got caught lends to the idea that he is wounded more psychologically than he is physically.

Don't buy into what the commentators were saying about Linares's chin. Linares is chinny. Haney landed some pretty flush punches that didn't even rock Linares. Those types of flush punches have put him down 5 times.

Good performance from Haney. Never seen him fight like that and with that there is always some element of risk. Took the vast majority of shots very well and one really rocked him but he did well to survive until his legs came back.

 

I still can't get over how Haney hugged his way out of the championship rounds. Meanwhile a man almost twice his age won a title against an undefeated champion (who had KO power) like a goddamn man. Haney's a *****. Hell of a boxer, but a featherfisted *****.
