Haney was a clear winner but once again he failed to live up to the excessive hype. He's way bigger, younger and fresher than Linares and longer but he couldn't even drop him, let alone stop him even though Linares is almost 36 and has been stopped in two of his last five fights and is well past his best and had the bell not come to Haney's rescue in round 10 he would've got KTFO because he was still groggy for most if not all of round 11.

His size, length and the strength that comes with being the much naturally bigger man was a big factor for him and it also helped him absorb Linares' power with the exception of that one clean right hand he landed in the 10th.

He was stiff-arming the hell out of Linares all night which made it difficult for Linares to get into range and get off with his own shots and he was holding a lot too and it was odd he was crying to the ref about rabbit punches because he was doing that all night too.

Teofimo will ice him out cold and I really dislike that creep.

I was not impressed with his wrestling . He needs to learn double leg takedowns , because not every opponent will be drained and shot 35 year old. He is a KO waiting to happen and I hope he gets brutally knocked out.

Linares was not nearly as shot as I expected, I think he has another good sub-championship level fight in him.

Again, overhyping someone that don't deserve it.

Those bias commentators were as trash as possible.

Far from a KO waiting to happen. Haney is a defensive fighter first. Haney took way more chances this fight because of criticism of being a boring fighter. It just happens that when u take more chances like that against a puncher, he possibly get hurt. Let's not forget Haney dominated the first 10 rounds.

i can see why García swerved him
Along with fortuna & Devin “Huggy bear” Haney himself

linares would have stopped García with ease.

9-3 Haney. If Haney would have fought his usually defensive fight, u would be still hating. He came out and made this fight exciting being more offensive minded and u call him a KO waiting to happen lol. Haney has the best defense at 135, and **** happens. Haney has never hit that much in the fight before. If he goes back defensive fighting, yall going to still hate and complain.

Do we really regard Linares as a puncher?
In his last 10 he has ONLY stopped Carlos Morales and Abner Cotto. He has take decisions against Toyogon, Gesta, Campbell Crolla (twice) in that time and was stopped by Loma and Cano. The last time he had back to back stoppages was against Ira Terry, Francisco Javier Prieto, Kevin Mitchell and Ivan Cano, not exactly iron chinned warriors...
