Devin Miles Haney vs. Jorge Luis Linares Palencia & Martin Joseph Ward vs. Azinga Fuzile RBR.

Haney is talented and skilled but he still has a long way to go with being in the same league as Lopez, Tank, Loma. He’s seriously lacking in power, especially considering that he couldn’t hurt old Gamboa and Linares, 2 fighters known for having shaky chins and all losses were by stoppages. The fact that he couldn’t hurt Linares but was visibly shaken by Linares is very telling.

We’ll see how far he’ll go. Time will tell.

If about Ryan I really considered him as IG boxer until fight vs Campbell.
Guy had get hit normally and quickly managed to get up and continued to fight smoothly and without reduced output or speed after this.
Ofc he is not God but he did the same stuff I had did after I had get floored and cos this he likes me a lot.

I don't claim that he is world beater or top5 but lad is at least a bit better than ppl usually think.

 

So which shot fighter are we going to see his team match him with next?

Exactly if he fights defensively he will box circles around guys and these same posters hating his aggressive style will call him a bore. Haney can't win with people like that they will never like him anyway, he might as well be true to himself and fight defensively and **** them off by continuing to win while doing so.

I used to like Haney
& he did shine in the majority of the rounds.

He did what it took to Win,
but it’s impossible to respect the way he ended the fight
Especially that Run up & hug technique to start the 12th that was something out of a Tekken video game.

champs don’t fight like that in the championship rounds.

Finishing a fight like that will cost him against better younger & hungrier opposition.

To be honest (& to your point),
I think I would have preferred watching him pitch a “boring” shutout like he did vs Gamboa then to see him end the fight in that fashion vs Linares
although it was a more “watchable” & entertaining fight.

 

Nope, genuinely seen people suggest Selby, which would be a ****ing hideous bout... which I guess would actually fit in with Matchroom's match making for him

At 135 Linares was stopped by cuts, gassing amd body shot. At 140 he was dropped three times but could have continued.

 

I disagree because if u have an issue with the holding, u got to address Linares fouling with the rabbit punches. As many times as the ref warn Linares, he could have taken more than 1 point, but he didn't. So that can be look as an even exchange.
