I'm sure that could have been Arum putting loma in his place for making ridiculous demands when he turned pro.

Thanks God I never gamble because I would be the poorest man on earth. No way in hell would I have predicted this fight as it happened.

Lol. Garcia is not a top fighter. Your boy Haney just got wrecked by a guy who doesn't even know how to fight. Guy is an Instagram boxer with decent speed and power.

I'm talking about the hypocrisy of so many regarding Salido missing weight against the way smaller Loma and Ryan doing so against the bigger Haney

Haney didn't call the fight off because he knows he's a gigantic weight bully and that he would blow up to at least 165 and will never be at a weight disadvantage. He knew he'd still be bigger than Ryan.

Why do you think he was willing to travel over to Australia to fight the smaller Kambosos in his backyard x 2? Because he knew that if his skilled boxer assistant trainer Mickey Bey who was old, well past his best, and had been extremely inactive after only having fought once in 3.5 years could take Kambosos to a SD then a much younger, much bigger, prime active boxer like himself with the addition of Bey's intel could beat him handily. I know how his and his old man's minds works. I watch a lot of boxing related interviews on YT and I pick up on things easily.

I would argue the point before but not anymore. Haney cant be elite if he's not able to rise above fights like that. He looked exposed when he wasn't controlling the boxing.

I'm not buying this narrative Ryan Garcia just fooled the whole world into thinking he's nuts. Sure played it up but still a fkn head case.

Post fight conference showed he has more wits about him than the pre fight build up.

Dude he weighed 165 in a previous fight, yeah technically he made weight, he's still a bully who got exposed, deal with it.

    I had a feeling... gutted I didn't bet when I saw him 10-1.

I thought if an old Linares could do well and hurt Haney, than a young Garcia def could too.

Ironically it's a bit of a 4D chess move, probably unintentionally.

If Haney had refused to fight, it'd look ridiculous because:
    1) Everyone knows he fights at 25lbs above his weight category
    2) Haney was always going to be the bigger guy on the night
    3) Belts not even on the line

It'd look really, really pathetic to not fight in those circumstances.

And let's get real here - yes, it's hard and unpleasant to boil down that hard (to say nothing of being risky and bad for you)... But that emphasizes just how big a difference a weight advantage grants a fighter - no way you'd put yourself through it otherwise.

And in this case, Garcia put himself through less drain, but was clearly the smaller guy - so Haney put himself through more drain for an advantage, as usual, just less of one than usual?
It's still an advantage - I'm failing to see how it's possible to see Garcia as a cheat without making the same observation towards Haney.
