    Good point.

Holding is one thing but how some fighters get away with rabbit punching (especially in the clinch with both fighters squared up) is beyond me considering how dangerous it is.

Sorry I apologise for my harsh words but I really think what Garcia did is much worse. When I managed fighters I have seen this type of tricks before and it’s not good. I had 140 pounds world class fighter who was on weight then a few days before a Commonwealth world title fight the opponent pulled out so last minute scrambling to save the televised show he had to face a Light Middleweight/Welterweight. The promoter made the unbeaten Light Middleweight a good fighter drop some weight against my guy who was primed and prepared for a title fight hence it did not end well for the guy who I don’t think was ever quite the same again. I think Tim Haney were stupid.

BS. It’s exactly the same and your boy Floyd was famous for catch weights and rehydration clauses. Ryan weighed 143 with a bottle of beer in his hand-or Apple juice- and long pants and shoes.

Your boy comes in the ring over 160 lbs- 165 vs Prograis and 20lbs over Loma. Never heard a peep from you. Garcia weighed 143 with a full bottle in his hand, long pants and shoes so he probably weighed 141. Bottom line Garcia kicked his ass and broke his jaw.

Jim Lampley said this was the most shocking thing he's ever seen.

And that's saying something, he's seen a lot of shocking things throughout his career.

I didn't see the fight yet just highlights, neither are my boy. I'm a former wrestler of many years. So i know all about making weight.Making a tough weight division is very hard and has an effect on your performance. If Garcia made the weight he deserves full credit for the win, but he didn't. In a wrestling duel meet if you don't make weight you lose by forfeit, or you compete in the next weight division up. Garcia got to come in at a comfortable weight, while Haney had to boil down. The victory needs to be kept in context. Haney apparently thought he could overcome the handicap, but he couldn't. Garcia might have won anyway, but we will never know.

Anybody found anything online about their rehydrated fight night weights?

I only see speculation from fans putting them both in the low to mid 160's. :nusenuse:

Good win for Garcia, but he is going to take more Ls in the future.

Everyone is going to attack Haney coming forward and aim for his chin now.

Does Garcia have the best left hook in boxing?

In terms of technique, behind Ioka. (especially as the punctuation mark on a combination)

In terms of technique and p4p power, behind Inoue.

In terms of raw power, though? Probably the best south of welter - and among the hardest p4p in the game.

Fundora? At 154 , Garcia gets stopped. Fundora will jab his head off and eventually land something big.

I mean it would have to be 154, right? Fundora isn't making 147. Better chance of Kingry making lightweight again.
