Devin Miles Haney vs. Ryan García Quesada

I have this weird notion that boxers should fight at at weight where they are "in shape" and not emaciated and possibly giving themselves kidney damage in the process. Haney looked gaunt on the scales; he always has. If he fought at 147 but walked around at 160, ok, but cutting down to 140 is too much IMO.

 

So you're wishy washy in your opinion of cutting weight.

Its not the fighter's fault, it's the sport's fault. As long as a fighter isn't breaking the rules in good with it.

Don't call boxing promoters and sanctioning bodies vultures. Vultures at least have the courtesy to wait until you're dead to pick at you.

 

I picked Haney by stoppage. Not cause I think Haney is some ko artist, I just can’t see Garcia getting picked apart for 12 rounds. I think he’ll find a way out before that.

 

Not sure how long it's been a thing but the weigh in we see broadcast is a "mock" weigh in. The official weigh in happens in the morning under medical supervision. This was probably 8 hours later.

Haney should be DQ`d if he does his usual holding round the hips bull.
