This fight is definitely going to be remembered. I don't want to sound masochistic, but I throughly enjoy the sombre, bittersweet feeling of this fight. For a night boxing world quaked with countless fighters expressing their opinions.

Skill-wise it might be Lomachenko's swan song. First three rounds alone had moments of generalship, ring savvy, and surgically clean shots that bring back memories of some truly great names.

How is the fact he's not American not contradicting your post that there's American bias in boxing. He's not American. He's Canadian and sounded like he was fresh off the boat from Italy

    R1: 10-9 Haney
    R2: 10-9 Haney
    R3: 10-9 Haney
    R4: 10-9 Lomachenko
    R5: 10-9 Haney
    R6: 10-9 Lomachenko
    R7: 10-9 Lomachenko
    R8: 10-9 Lomachenko
    R9: 10-9 Lomachenko
    R10: 10-9 Lomachenko
    R11: 10-9 Lomachenko
    R12: 10-9 Haney

    115-113 Lomachenko

I don't think it deserves to be called a "robbery" (I thought round 4 was very close, and apparently most people think Loma lost that one, for example, so I could have had the fight a draw extremely easily), but Loma edged just enough rounds to win on my scorecard. Haney should run it back. I mean, why not? He's very young and likely won't get many opportunities to fight fighters as well respected as Lomachenko.

Also, no idea how people saw 1 to Loma. I think that's a clear Haney round.

I scored it for Lomachenko repeatedly.

By the time the it's only one minute left in the round they are almost even with Haney landing the left hand at the beginning and another awkward shot before the clinch. Lomachenko had one uppercut and one potshot jab. If the round would end at that point I'd likely given it to Haney since his body shots, while taken on the elbows or moved away from, were still enough to tip the scale and were still a good case of effective aggression and imposing your size, resulting in ring control. Then in the last thirty seconds Lomachenko:
    a) Pressed the initiative on the bigger man, cuts the ring, and catches him the corner. That was both an excellent show of generalship and effective aggression.
    b) Lands two clean punches, and one pitty pat uppercut that I didn't really score.
Worth noting that Lomachenko was moving back with the shots Haney landed, while he caught him with his pants down at the ropes, which should not have happened to the bigger man.

I reckon if it was Ray Leonard or Ali in there, it would be considered a great move and playing to the judges as in giving the most memorable action at the end to let the recency bias do the work.

If Haney landed those sweet counter uppercuts to the body he did later on, I would likely score it differently as well.

Haney will never fight on neutral grounds. Just like mayweather, ward, etc. they always have to have the home turf and three judges if not the referee.

This is true. But even with all those factors (and a few more) in his favour I didn't think Haney would be able to fight the way he did. Hats off to him.
