It's not that Haney looked bad or did anything wrong. He didn't look bad at all and he won wide. The problem is Gamboa turns 39 y/0 next month, has been shot to smithereens for years, and has always been chinny (he's been dropped in about 10 or 11 of his fights) even when facing opponents his own size and Haney couldn't hurt him once. Even when he caught him flush with his best shots (and he caught him plenty too) the best he could manage was to buzz him a little and Haney's a huge 135 pounder and Gamboa is a blown up 126-130. Gamboa's mechanism is completely gone and if you compare this version of him to the prime one you'd never guess they were the same fighter. He used to be lightening fast and explosive but he looks like a stumpy little shot toad these days.

One is getting a free pass? Did you not see all of the Usyk is overrated at HW takes? All of the divided threads? That's not a free pass lmao. He got trashed much worse than Haney was. And Usyk has already proven he isn't a hype job when he become undisputed.

No matter how elite you think they are, you don't become undisputed champ without facing a few live bodies. Haney has fought none, and is looking like **** vs shot, glass-jawed featherweights coming off losses. Haney has been boxing since he was a little kid. Inexperienced is one of the things he isn't. A racist, boring, arrogant *****, but inexperienced? Nah.

I'm pretty sure Gamboa won at most a solitary round.

Coming off of knockout losses and a nasty leg injury.

I'm with you. I gave up on watching this guy a while ago. Boring is boring and I don't have time to waste watching this guy fight

Haney just isn't ready for the top levels. He still is an unpolished fighter with some skills, but yes his power was lacking now for 2 straight fights. We'll see if he grows into it in the next couple years, but that is a concerning question as to how good he really is. Despite dominating the fight which is great, he did show some limitations that are concerning for his future chances of beating the other top dogs. At this point, I'd have to wager that Teo and Tank would probably beat him.

Chisora blocked off Usyk`s path to the right by holding him with his left arm for the first 6 rounds, Haney doesn`t land anything like the amount of shots Usyk lands in fights, he is not world class at all, he is a negative safety first fighter that cannot punch.
