Holmes who tore his left bicep got the job done against a Norton who fought the fight of his life. If this version of Norton would have shown up against Ali in 76 he would have taken the title with stoppage victory.
I thought Larry did remarkably well considering it was his first championship fight and first scheduled 15 round fight and he was still relatively untested and unknown with his only opponent of note being less than 3 months before this title fight, against Earnie Shavers. Kenny may have arguably past his prime but no one can fault the sheer effort and determination he put into this fight, especially towards the end of it to try and desperately hang on to his title. Some of the flush shots he took in the last couple of rounds, it was like he just managed to stay on his feet by sheer willpower and yet still tried to fire back. You simply can’t fault either man in this fight.
And is very laughable when the people argue that prime holmes would beat Tyson lol.Tyson destroys any version of holmes at any time. Styles
It's funny how you profess how much you hate Holmes and let that cloud your assessment of him. There are fighters that I absolutely can't stand but I don't let that get in the way of my honest opinion. Your Holmes comments are comical at this point.
Did you read my opinion about Holmes (who i hate) vs foreman(my idol)? You should... It has nothing to do with the fact i don't like holmes.it is what i think. Prime norton beats holmes
