Devon Alexander hype is out of control

  1. It's nauseating. Same **** happened with Gamboa and Bradley, too. People have been on Bradley's dick something fierce here recently and now all of the sudden he's ducking Devon? Last time I checked, Maidana is a dangerous mother****er. And, let's not act as though Devon is the second-coming to anything, since he didn't exactly look unflappable against Urango (who just so happens to be the most one-dimensional 140lb. of the top guys).

A win over Urango really isn't all that impressive considering he's already been beaten by Hatton, Berto, and arguably Ben Rabah (for those who saw that fight).

So, I guess I'm supposed to be impressed with his fantastic win over Junior Witter? I'm not.

Last time I checked, Timothy Bradley, not Devon Alexander, was the man @ 140, so, if he wants to fight a guy as dangerous and exciting as Maidana is, well, more power to him.

So, stop overrating him, shut the **** up, and enjoy Bradley-Maidana.

Devon Alexander in my opinion is the future of the sport. Not only does he have the skills but he also has that hunger to want to compete on that elite level in the near future.

At Devon's age and the amounts of fights he already has. He has a better resume that most fighters his age. This should be applauded.

Listen Alexander is shaping up to be a quality fighter and i'd put my money on him to beat any of the other top 140lb fighters.

The win over Urango was impressive and abit of hype is always good as it helps build up the fights between the other top light welters. Why don't you just appreciate another skilled boxer in the sport that we all love.

The fans are desperately looking for fighters to cling on to. None of these guys are as good as people are claiming.

Devon Alexander is good but you dont rate anybody as the second coming as alot of people are after a win over Juan Urango.

Devon at such a young age and limited amount of fights, has displayed quality which many fighters do not show at that stage of their careers. People are excited because he's got the potential to be the future of the 140 division, nothing wrong with that

Totally agree, yes ppl who are calling in p4p or anything like that are wrong. But i haven't seen no one here say that. So whats wrong with saying Alexander has the potentional to do great things.

Geez these forums are really getting bad, theres not one single fighter who can't do anything right it seems.

I think Alexander has a lot more ability than Bradley, but at the same time a Bradley-Maidana fight is nothing to complain about at all.

  14. I think a Bradley-Maidana fight is a much more enjoyable fight to watch than Bradley-Devon.

Entertainment wise i think you are probably right. Could be an excellent scrap, whereas a fight with Alexander would be more technical i feel.
