I didn't score the fight round by round but while watching the fight I thought Kotelnik won. It still doesn't mean that Devon should have to kneel to khan and blow him for a fight, especially if he beats Bradley.

No one is saying that, they're saying that they should fight each other. Only one man is talking about wanting the fight though.

What's up BoxKing, Thanks for the kind words.

I reposted the article and highlighted sa few things. IMO, he is just stating that if he beats Bradley as the sole Lineal, Unified, Ring Champion of his Division he does not have to chase anyone. And I agree with him. To be the best you have got to be the best and he will cleary be the best.

To be the best, you have to beat the best - and many will still consider Khan to be the best, so the fight should happen

people get worked up over nothing. He never said he won't fight Khan. If that's the fight that his promoters and HBO work out for his next fight, then i'm certain Devon would be in that ring. Probably knocking out Khan just as he'll be knocking out Tim.

Nobody except Khan fans think he is the best in the 140 Division. Does Wlad have to chase Haye? No you have to beat the Champion. Devon or Bradley will be the Champin and Khan will be a title holder. Simple stuff. Devon did not say he does not wnat to fight Khan, he just said that He does not have to chase him. Which is true.

Unfortunately for Alexander even if he wins this fight he'll still need Amir Khan if he wants to make any money. It won't make him a star by himself.

    Perhaps you have a point.

Considering how big of an underdog he is going into the Bradley fight, if he does pull it off, which I don't see happening, but if he does, then I guess we will all have to give him the benefit of the doubt there.

What I don't like about his attitude though I agree he doesn't have to chase after anyone, but what if Khan wants to chase after Alexander? Why would you refuse the only other guy in your weight division that has a world title?

I can understand going for a warm up fight first, but why say so conclusively that you won't be going after X person, specifically. He didn't make a general statement, he actually specifically named Khan, which is what bugs me about his intentions.

It's like Pacquiao saying, I'm the champion, but I don't need to fight Berto even if he wants to fight me. Because, one thing I can guarantee Ring Master, if Pacquiao ever uttered such words, he would be called "Ducker" by a good part of the posters here, so lets make sure we're not setting double standards.

If Alexander vs Bradley is a FOTY type fight then that theory is out of the window. Alexander will have that Spinks following in the Lou have that great HBO exposure for the Bradley fight and will be more well known in the states then Khan. ESPN showed the Urango KO highlight. I've never seen a Khan Highlight on HBO in the states.

I don't think Devon is going to win either. That kotelnik fight sticks out in my mind. Devon showed the Shane Mosley defence with a weak jab. So all of this may be null and void anyway. Fighters and fans don't appreciate the way Khan is running to twitter negotioating fighters purses through such a public platform. So I feel Devon is just stating he will not subject himselt to that. remember Devon is the one who forced the Bradley match. Bradley wanted it to build, Devon thought the road to greatness is to fight the best not through promotion. I don't think he will win but i respect his line of thinking.

Devon will win, people will call on him to fight Khan, after calling out Manny Pacquiao he'll fight Khan.
