Btw is Khan really fighting Paul McCloskey instead of Peterson or Presscot?

HBO apparently wanted him to fight in the UK.

Why not have Maidana come over to the UK for a rematch?

Alexander The Great isn't really living up to his name here. One King ducking another King...what has the world come to?

This should be his new theme:

Hmmm, I thought the Peterson fight was a good fight. I really liked it. Good change in style for Khan. I understand HBO wanting him to fight 1 in the states 1 in the UK. I rather see him fight Presscot in the UK. Leave Maidana and Ortiz for the USA fights. What about Lucas Mathessye? I think that's a good UK fight.

Matthysse is a really good fight too! :good

Yeah, I was getting excited about Lamont Peterson vs. Amir Khan, Lamont may not have the one punch power, but he's tough as nails and has a decent amateur background, could make it tricky for Amir.

To be fair I don't want to see Presscot get a fight with Amir, Presscot is not on that level, Matthysse is!

Maidana will be the most avoided fighter for a while, I really hope Amir steps up and gives him a rematch, I mean.. the first fight was a classic.:good

Do you guys read the thread or just skim through it. At ESB you can't take another posters words at face value. You have to look into it yourself. this is how hearsay becomes fact. Devon is not ducking anybody and had to force the Bradley fight and was the first to sign for it.

No. Paul Mccloskey was a suggestion from one of Amir's best friends. Khan hasn't even mentioned his name yet.

Khan does make deals public, but that's only because he has been accused so many times of ducking x or y in the past, so he feels he needs to reveal the real reasons for a fight not happening.

Not to mention, Khan does have a point when he says fighters tend to price themselves way too high when they come to him. Most fighters see Khan's UK support, his promoters, and his popularity and think easy payday. I believe what Maidana was paid in the Khan fight was nearly double what he was paid against Ortiz. (Have to find the source...)

Yup Matthysse is tough as nails. Peterson can box and has ggod height, I like Peterson b/c he can make adjustments in fights. He did against Bradley and Ortiz. Maidana has a lot of options b/c 140 is so deep. and HBO really likes him. I wouldn't worry about him.

Oh Presscot is a grudge match that I would like to see. Presscot is just as tall as Khan and struggled with the weight just as much. The 58 second destruction of Khan is enough to warrant a rematch imo.
